Once the location is arranged and
a date fixed in the calendar, it’s time
to start planning your perfect day.
The detail involved can be daunting.
That is why we ensure you get our full
support throughout. We work with
you on all aspects of planning the
event and are here to support you.
You can relax in the knowledge you
are in capable hands. After all, we
have been hosting weddings here
since 1926.

interiors, we serve locally sourced
food prepared in our two rosette
kitchens and our front of house staff
are welcoming and professional.

ABOUT PORTMEIRION
Portmeirion is a private village set
on its own peninsula on the coast of
Snowdonia. It has about 70 acres of
sub-tropical woodlands with lakes,
follies and miles of paths. Along its
shore are miles of tidal beaches.
Spa & Pool
The village was built by architect
Clough Williams-Ellis from 1926 to
1972 as an ‘unashamedly romantic’
sea-side resort.
Portmeirion’s Mermaid Spa has 3
treatment rooms and provides in
room treatments. We also have a
heated outdoor swimming pool.
All the buildings form part of the
Hotel, including Castell Deudraeth
on the main driveway overlooking
the estuary.
The Hotel can accommodate up to
120 guests in the curvilinear dining
room at the Hotel.
Portmeirion is a place apart, a
timeless haven of tranquillity, the
perfect place for your perfect day.

We have four premises licensed for
weddings, seating 12, 30, 45 and
100 respectively.

Any fees
that apply are payable direct to
Gwynedd Council.

Evening Party
A self-contained oak panelled hall
in the centre of the village is suitable
for up to 145 guests for evening
parties until midnight.
Accommodation
Portmeirion has a wide selection
of rooms and suites with stunning
views of the village and estuary.

A Guided Tour
The Civil Ceremony
If you would like to know more
about Portmeirion weddings we
suggest that you get in touch so we
can arrange your show around tour.
Portmeirion has four locations that
hold a civil wedding license.
Once you have decided to take
your plans further your personal
coordinator will work with you
through to the big day. All the
support you may need will be
available and all the guidance
you require through the detailed
planning stages that will ensure the
success of your event. At around
three months prior to the event we
would need to arrange a meeting
with you to discuss all final details.
The Tudor Room
On the day of the wedding itself
our management team will ensure
the smooth running of every aspect
from start to finish, leaving you free
to enjoy your perfect day.

The Mirror Room, in the main Hotel,
is ideal for ceremonies with up to 12
guests. This elegant room has floor
to ceiling mirrors on one side and
stunning views over the Dwyryd
estuary.
The Mirror Room
The Tudor Room, in the Town Hall, is
an oak panelled room with a private
terrace overlooking the village and
is ideal for up to 35 guests.
Hercules Hall, also part of the Town
Hall, is a striking Jacobean oak
panelled hall with a unique plaster
cast ceiling dating from the 1600s.
This hall can comfortably seat up to
100 guests
The Tudor Room

is a light and spacious room
overlooking the gardens and the
estuary with space for 35 guests.

The Reception
A drinks reception with your chosen
apéritifs and hand made canapés
can be arranged on the Hotel
lawn overlooking the estuary or in

the lounges. Exclusive use of the
outside lawn can be arranged.
The Wedding Breakfast
The Hotel Portmeirion Dining Room
was built in 1930 to overlook the
estuary. The dining room is suitable
for up to 120 guests. Our Restaurant
Manager will be on hand, if
required, to act as your Master of
Ceremonies.
Food and Wine
The Hotel kitchens have achieved
a 2 AA Rosette award for cooking
and use locally sourced seasonal
produce whenever possible.
We offer a choice of menus for
your wedding breakfast, prepared
with the attention to detail for
which Portmeirion is well known.
Special dietary requirements can
be accommodated. Our head
sommelier will provide a suggestion
of wines and Champagnes ideally
suited to wedding celebrations.

Terms & Conditions
Unconfirmed, provisional bookings
can only be held for 14 days. Before
releasing, we will try to contact you to
check whether the date is required.
Portmeirion reserves the right to cancel
wedding bookings if:
Written
confirmation
and
a
nonrefundable deposit of £1000 are
required to confirm all bookings.
a) 50% of the prebooked package cost
is not paid 90 days in advance
Payment of the deposit implies
acceptance of our terms and conditions.
The booking is also conditional on 50%
of the prebooked element being paid
90 days in advance and full payment
of the prebooked element being paid
30 days prior to the event.
b) if 100% of the prebooked package
cost is not paid 30 days in advance.
Cancellation Policy
We recommend that you take out
cancellation insurance to cover against
any unforeseen circumstances.
6 months or more notice - 100% of the
deposit paid is forfeited.
6 - 5 months notice - 30% of the prebooked
package cost.
5 - 3 months notice - 50% of the prebooked
package cost.
3 - 2 months notice - 75% of the prebooked
package cost.
60 days or less - 100% of the prebooked
package cost.

Lost Property
Items brought into the hotel are your
responsibility; no liability is accepted for
loss or damage. Items must be removed
within 24 hours of the wedding.

The prices shown are valid until 31st
December 2015. Prices include VAT.
