Attached to the newsletter is a show bill, and entry form. You can fill it out, scan the entry form, a copy of your coggins, registration papers & association membership cards (if needed for AQHA) and email them to [email protected]. ALL INFO MUST BE RECEIVED BY NOON ON THE THURSDAY BEFORE THE SHOW. In order to receive back numbers, you must bring payment to the office. Hairy Horse Contest March 12 This class will be held at lunch break with prizes. Show Season Our show season will start on March 11 & 12, 2016. New this year is the Ranch Pleasure & Reining classes. These classes will begin at 7pm each Friday evening. We hope to see a lot of you there, and also will look for some new faces. We will make sure the hot water is turned on early for everyone to bathe their ponies & puppies! Bring your campers & trailers for some good-time family fun! The show grounds will be open by Noon on Friday. If you are planning on camping and need an RV spot (electricity & water) or a stall with shavings, please let Angie Middleton know ASAP. (214-641-9582) Stalls and RV spots will go fast! April 8 & 9 Tack Sale Youth Newsletter February Welcome HCHA Youth members! Welcome back old members and new members. We are excited about this upcoming show season. This season each Youth member will receive a HCHA Youth T-shirt....Wear it and show your HCHA Spirit! You will also receive an envelope with Youth information regarding this show season and ways to support the youth. Upcoming Events March: Hairiest Horse Contest April: Tack Sale May: Stall decorating contest June: Canned Food Drive Benefitting The Salvation Army HCHA will have a tack/show clothing sale at the April 8th & 9th show. Clean out your barn and closet to bring all of your unwanted tack, saddles, show clothes, or anything horse related that you would like to have sold. 25% of all the proceeds will go to St. Jude’s Hospital and 75% will come back to owner of tack. This is a great way to do some spring cleaning, make your barn a little bigger, or to shop for some hard to find items at great discount prices. Please label all items with your initials and a price. July: August: Youth Popsicle Social September: Youth Bake Sale & Dog Show October: Costume Contest November: End of the Season Banquet HCHA YOUTH Sponsorships now available! Sponsorships will benefit the youth of HCHA! There will be youth social events, end of the season acknowledgement awards and also our hope to start and give away our Second HCHA Youth Scholarship. Youth Raffle Prize Help support the HCHA YOUTH! Yeti Cooler will be raffled off this season. Tickets will be sold during each show March thru October. The main drawing will be held at our October Show. Proceeds will go towards acknowledging our youth at the end of the year Awards Banquet. Youth are required to participate in 5 or more HCHA shows to receive HCHA Youth acknowledgement awards at the end of the season. Our youth group continues to grow each year and strives to keep the sport alive. Sponsorships are now available for the 2016 Season. The sponsorships will go towards acknowledging the youth at the end of the season banquet, youth social events and our hopes to start and give our second HCHA College scholarship.
