Business was brisk when Clovis Lamy
ran this diner back in the late 1940s.
Embracing the opportunity to run his own
business after he got out of the army at
the end of World War II, Lamy welcomed
customers to his diner from early in the
morning until late at night. He thought there
was no better place on earth than standing
behind the counter talking to people. Townspeople might stop in on their way to work in
the morning for a doughnut, a cup of coffee
and a quick chat. After meals or after an
evening movie, Lamy’s customers knew they
could get a great piece of pie, enjoy the
latest popular songs on the jukebox, relax
and socialize with friends and neighbors.
There was always a good time to be had at
Lamy’s!
Today, we re-create that environment
with our setting, music and good company,
while serving a more contemporary twist
on traditional diner fare, from hot food and
shakes to those doughnuts and desserts.
