BSA Troop #25 What: Who: Where: When: Canoe & Kayak Campout All registered Scouts and Scouters Susquehanna River – Near Liverpool August 15 - 17, 2014. For our August outing we are planning a weekend canoe & kayak outing on the Susquehanna River. We will be camping at the Ferryboat Campsites, near Liverpool, both Friday and Saturday nights. All paddlers should attend the Safety and Paddling clinic scheduled for August 2. Saturday morning we will be putting on the water at Port Trevorton and taking out 12 miles downriver at the Ferryboat Campsites. This Trip will be fun and informative. This is a very nice section of river, at one of the widest points. You will get wet - so wear your swim suit, bring a towel and sunscreen. Foot protection is required. You will need to wear water shoes in the boat. If you have your own personal floatation device (“pfd”), bring it along. Millersburg Ferry Boat Association Nestled among the beautiful mountains of Central Pennsylvania is the historic town of Millersburg, home to the last known all wooden double stern-wheel paddle boats believed to be operating in this country.
