PREVIOUS STORY
Prajakt Rebeloma from Nagpur is director, actor, writer , lyricist, singer and editor of movie “Lastbenchers” . But
before 4 years he was just a normal guy. His Father Mr. Moreshwar Meshram produced two marathi movies where
he suffered with some financial loss. Prajakt was a shy lastbencher with no recognition in his school days. Facing
many inferiority complex with the way he looked, poor English speaking skills, he somehow managed to pass tenth
standard with distinction. He lost interest in academics, missed classes, spent tuition money hanging out with
friends, he left college education after passing 11th std. Constantly facing criticism from relatives, neighbors, he
left home to work in tea stalls and kept wandering in search for his true call. His father Mr. Moreshwar Meshram
holds 3 degrees,6 national awards and many state awards. He also produced two Marathi movies but when Prajakt realized that his dad was losing money making movies, he decided to help his father by jumping in filmmaking
business. With just one dslr camera, old laptop, internet connection Prajakt decided to learn everything about
filmmaking and decided to make a movie. Prajakt secretly loved one girl but she hated him. Anyway, he called some
of his friends to help him out in his flat where there were just 2 blankets, one matress and one stove to cook food.
Excited everyone came but soon left one by one as his goal was too big and he didn’t even had a college degree.
But Prajakt moved on. He wrote four page story named “LASTBENCHERS” and was about to go to Mumbai to learn
further but while he was crossing road one night, A car with 90 kmph speed hit him. He fell 30 feet away and the
impact broke his left leg. His only wish before operation was to meet his family and the girl he loved so much. After
operation, when he woke up, his friends gave him the news that they tried to talk to the girl but the girl not only
refused to meet but said “Who gives a shit if he lives or dies and it’s better if he dies”.
After hearing this, Prajakt, instead of crying and feeling helpless made a promise to himself that instead of thinking
about her, it’s better to think about completing his project.. His friend Dipak harne and brother Sanket galactus
joined him in his task. He crawled 4 floors daily up and down as he was unable to walk but never let anyone feel
sympathy for him. Slowly he started walking with 8 screws and two plates in his leg. And the boy who never studied
in his school life started studying day and night. Prajakt and Sanket never assisted any director, never took part in
any filmmaking workshop or attended film-school. They never even called anyone for help or guidance. They didn’t
even shot any short film before. Prajakt decided that if failure is in his way then it’s better to fail doing something
big. But together they learned every aspect of film-making on their own just from internet. Studying, testing, failing
then trying again became their daily routine. Not only this, they made it their goal to make a Bollywood movie where
they will give chance to many newcomers. A whole team of new comers. Everyday they studied and next day they
taught. Within two months they learned everything and shot their first feature film “Lastbenchers”.
Shooting a full length feature film is something filmmakers of nagpur have already done, but making that movie
seen by millions is different. But Prajakt made sure his movie is seen by millions and he achieved it and set new
standards for Nagpur. After lastbenchers, he made numerous music videos, short films, held many film-making
workshops and seminars and has helped many to become film-makers.
ABOUT REBELOMA’S TALK SHOW
It’s an infotainment talk show where we will discuss several aspects of film-making. Many have seen movies, behind the scenes
of a movie but there is no show which explains the complete process of film-making. And even if there are, they are all in English
discussing how hollywood movies are made. More than 200 tv channels in India and no one has entered in this terriroty. We are
here to explore it and guide youngsters how they can enter this industry. As this show will be in hindi language, many will be
comfortable to watch it online, on dvd and other mediums.
In this show, we will explore, debate and discuss on each aspect in details which will hook youngsters and help them learn the
process in an entertaining way. Not only this, hosts and speakers will also include girls. Not many girls work behind camera so
this show will also be an inspiration to many girls to know about different opportunities in this industry. We are targeting social
media platforms, websites, blogs and news sites to promote this show. Today, youngsters spend more time online than they
spend on television. They are hooked to their cellphones. Everyone carries a cellphone and shooting self-videos and selfies have
become a trend. But what if we tell them the proper way. Many carry smartphones but have they explored it’s potential. We are
going to tell them what they can do with their cellphones.

“When you see movies, tv serials, music videos, what do you see?
Actors, Singers, Dancers or Glamour spead across frames? I
see jobs, employment opportunies for all. It’s dream of my father to
generate maximum jobs for youngsters. A movie project is on paper,
director meets producer to sanction it and suddenly there are hundreds of jobs available for others. A carpenter works on set, painter
paints the walls, Farmers sell their food which will be cooked on
set. Doctor rushes to save someone who accidently hurt himself on
shoot. Tailor starts earning sewing clothes and many hidden jobs
start to emerge for common people. Hence i have entered movies.
It’s my dream to Form ‘Woodcutter Film Industry” in Nagpur.
Imagine the tourism industry flourishing if it comes true. For people living in central india, no more travelling 1000 miles in search
of fame, name or money who wants to enter this art form. An untapped territory with all the potential and no-one to guide them,
support them, form a platform for them. Filmdukes will be their
destination. Not many will support us because their eyes have seen
experience. Oh yes, but experience dwells in past. My eyes have
a vision and for that one will have to look into future. And yeah,
future is bright. I am not a businessman selling people dreams. I
am here to wakeup them from their sleep, challenge them, train them
to be fighters. I want each team-mate of filmdukes to be a fighther.
No, I don’t want employees or an army. Let the employees work
where they earn, let the youngsters who want to lose everything they
have earned join us. Coz i know the price of my dream and am ready
to pay it to make it come true.Who am I? Am the one who will
form Woodcutter Film Industry in Nagpur.”
