Golf to help
some kids...
is a free, fun filled event for special needs children
and their families from around the metro Phoenix area.
The annual event is held at the McCormick Stillman
Railroad Park in Scottsdale.The Scottsdale Sunrise
Rotary Club has been in charge of this event since
1986 when Guy Stillman approached the Rotary Club
in hopes of making the Railroad Park handicap friendly.
A project of the Scottsdale Sunrise Rotary Club,
dedicated to providing a day of fun at
McCormick Stillman Railroad Park for special
needs children in the greater Phoenix area.

Approximately $40,000 worth of food and activities
are donated to the event each year. 60-70 volunteers
from different groups help with activities and
preparing food. Previous groups volunteering their
time have included the Phoenix Suns dance squad,
the Arizona Cardinals dance squad, Kiita Foundation,
the Phoenix Coyotes Pack, Ronald McDonald, The Boy
Scouts and Girl Scouts of America, the Scottsdale Fire
Department and the Scottsdale Police K-9 patrol.
Also providing help is the Scottsdale Unified School
District Service Learning Program with 180 volunteers.
