CAPABILITIES Williams has two locations with approximately 200,000 square feet total manufacturing space and storage. Close tolerances and complex machining are specialties of our machining shops. We have a number of complex numerically control machining centers with capabilities of machining complete assemblies up to 25 feet diameter and up to 85 tons in weight. Our welding shops are ASME and AWS certified and offer diverse high precision cutting and fabrication utilizing our large plasma & laser cutting equipment. We can produce parts that are very small up to over 100 tons in total weight. Our engineering capabilities include drawing mechanical, electrical, and structural interface on an AutoCADD/ Inventor 3D platform with finite element analysis. 2 Williams manufactures large Primary & Secondary Impact Crushers including the Willpactors and Nuggetizers Series. These large industrial crushers are designed for a wide range of applications including primary stone reduction, demolition shredding, and secondary minerals reduction. Typically these units are powered between 500 to 6000 horsepower and are fabricated out of heavy plate. IMPACTORS Willpactor “New Holland Design” Primary Impact Crushers are rugged, single rotor, primary impact crushers for high capacity, high reduction ratio machines and offer external product size adjustment. Willpactors come in five sizes with capacities as high as 3000 tons per hour, and feed openings are as large as 72 inches by 120 inches. Willpactor II “Andreas Design” High Chrome Impact Crushers are designed specifically to increase profits by maximizing the production of marketable cubical product and reducing maintenance costs. Backed by over 150 years of industry experience, the Willpactor II provides an efficient solution to abrasive applications. Nuggetizers (U.S. Patent #3,667,694) are large primary, single-stage, impact Hammer Mills for cement, rock, limestone, coal, metal ore, and other minerals. Willpactor Reversible Impactors are among the most advanced of the secondary or tertiary crushers for the reduction of stone, coal, ore, clay, shale, refractories, ceramics, scrap glass, chemicals, fertilizers, and other materials. Willpactor II Reversible Impactor Reversible Nuggetizers 3 Williams manufactures a large variety of Hammer Mills to handle virtually any size reduction job. These rugged machines provide the efficiencies and economies of mid-air impact crushing, grinding, or shredding of diverse materials. They are designed to operate on an 8000 hours-per-year basis and should not be compared to the lighter version of this type of equipment made by other companies. HAMMER MILLS Rigid Arm Breaker Williams GP, or General Purpose Mill is a simple, rugged answer to many small and medium capacity grinding jobs. Rocket Mills are designed for the rapid reduction of large quantities of non-abrasive materials. Meteor Mills are characterized by high hammer-tip speed to permit a fine product or to obtain specific characteristics in the finished product. Slugger Crushers have large feed openings and massive construction for the big, continuous jobs, either in hourly output or reduction ratio. NF and GA Mills are “overrunning” machines where the material is reduced on the breaker plates before being further reduced on the grates. Ring Crushers are specially designed to reduce the size and volume of metal turnings, “bushelings”, or “clips” through efficient impact crushing. Swing hammers can be substituted for the rings when needed. Traveling Breaker Plates are designed to permit a Slugger Crusher to reduce sticky muddy rock, clay, shale, or bauxite without clogging. Traveling Breaker Plate Mill Williams Reversible Mills have hammers that can be automatically turned, simply by pushbutton reversal of the drive motor. Production is increased, hammer life is doubled, and maintenance is reduced. Rigid Arm Breakers are essentially mills in which the hammers are rigid, rather than swing-mounted, for use in paper industries. Reversible Hammer Mill Ring Crusher Rocket Series Meteor Series 4 ROLLER MILLS Williams produces 18 different sizes of Roller Mills with varying capacities utilizing air classification and grinding. They are used in industries for pulverizing minerals, chemicals, pigments, tobacco, and coal. Roller Mills are very efficient grinders capable of handling a variety of abrasive materials and producing product sizes from 60 mesh to 600 mesh. All Williams Roller Mills are custom designed for each application. They can also be very efficient dryers with the addition of an air heater. Standard Roller Mills are perfect for fine grinding applications requiring efficient drying, air classification, and conveying the material in one simple process. We also offer four different types of Air Classifiers to compliment our Standard Roller Mills: Spinner, High Efficiency Turbine, Isokinetic, and Velocity Separators. Direct Fired Roller Mills are the same as our Standard Roller Mills, but the construction is more robust to withstand 50 PSI or greater applications. These units are very efficient in grinding and pulverizing coal and petroleum coke for direct firing into boilers and kilns. They are also good for grinding other types of materials such as clays or lignites. DFM Roller Mills are specially designed to crush limestone and to produce 18 x 200 mesh sorbent media for Fluid Bed Boilers. They are designed to handle positive and negative pressures of over 100 inches water column. 5 Impact Dryer Mills are very much like Roller Mills except the primary crushing unit is a Hammer Mill. These are used when crushing, grinding, air classifying, and drying, or thermal processing is required in the application. They also are custom designed for each application and are used in a wide variety of industries such as drying filter cake medium, clays, coal, gypsum, and other soft materials including pigments, and can produce products between 8 and 325 mesh. IMPACT DRYER MILLS 6 SHREDDERS Williams produces a variety of specialty shredders for different industries. Ripshear Shredders are slow speed, high torque shear type cutters that can reduce solid waste, steel, and tires in a quiet, clean, and economical way with minimum dust produced. Electric Ripshear Shredder Nife Hogs are heavy duty, high performance knife granulators, designed to act as a secondary shredder in conjuniction with primary shredders. They are capable of reducing tires, carpet, plastic, liners, and other types of material to a nominal 1/2 inch product. Nife Hog Rigid Arm Shredders describe a wide variety of heavy industrial shredders capable of reducing large volumes of waste material and shredding it to a nominal 2 inches for the sake of baling or continuing of fiberization. Hydraulic Ripshear Shredder Rigid Arm Shredder ROLL CRUSHERS Williams manfactures a wide selection of both Single and Double Roll Crushers. Single Roll Crushers are simple in design and heavy in construction. They are built to be long lasting, economical, and versitile. Single Roll Crushers are usually used in processing a variety of materials from a nominal 24 inches down to a nominal minus 1 inch output product. Double Roll Crushers are large, high precision crushing units capable of controlling the output product at a very consistant rate. The Williams patented adjustment roll design (U.S. Patent #6,685,118) allows for changing the roll gap on a very small incremental basis. This adjustment can be made manually while the unit is running or connected to a servo motor. Double Roll Crusher Single Roll Crushers AIR CLASSIFICATION Williams manufactures a complete line of Air Classifiers that can be integrated with air swept mills or stand-alone de-dusting operations. Mechanical Air Separators have a built-in air system and are perfect for de-dusting minerals or used where materials that may have heavy or light contaminants in the product. Spinner Separators are simple air classifiers incorporated into an existing air system or an air swept mill. This allows precise control of the top size as it leaves the air column. High Efficiency Turbine Separators are also used with air swept mills where efficiency and ultra fineness are a consideration. Isokinetic Separators are used when trying to produce a product that is very steep on the product curve such as fluid bed sorbent products. Velocity Separators are the simplest in design and are utilized in processes where sizing does not have to be so exact. 7 Turbine Separator Mechanical Air Separator Williams produces a variety of equipment for the wood industry, including paper, pulp, and recycling. We also manufacture a wide line of different types of crushers to facilitate recycling or handling of fuel-based products. WOOD PRODUCTS No-Nife Hogs We manufacture a wide variety of these heavy duty mills. They are used in processing wet bark or dry kiln lumber to make either fuel for boilers or for recycling into other products. Rotary Disc Screens are used primarily in the bark and wood industries for high speed separation of oversized and undersized components and have also been used in the municipal solid fuel waste and coal industries. They are frequently used as a feeder and separator at the same time, allowing the bypass of presized material around the primary crushers. Nife Chippers are slow speed, high torque grinders with a hydraulic operated ram type feeder. These units are primarily used in low capacity “dump-and-run” type operations where wood waste or other types of materials need to be reduced or destroyed for increasing bulk density or recycling at a later date. Horizontal Feed Hogs are side entry horizontal feed Hammer Mills and are available with power roll attachments. These mills are used for wood waste that tends to be long and stringy and/or where ceiling heights create feeding limitations. Rotary Disc Screen No-Nife Hog Horizontal Feed Hog No-Nife Hog Nife Chipper 8 CONVEYORS & FEEDERS Williams manufactures a variety of rugged, heavy duty Conveyors and Feeders built to match the superior strength and long service life of our crushers, grinders, and pulverizers. Williams conveyors and feeders are designed to work in conjunction with our other systems and for long service life under severe loads. Williams Apron Pan Feeders are the heaviest duty apron pan feeders on the market today, utilizing 1-1/2 inch thick manganese plates bolted to D-9 type crawler chains with large head and pulley assemblies. This produces a superior type conveyor for either pulling material out of a bunker or loading it directly on from trucks or shovels. These are custom built to suit the customer and give excellent service with minimum maintenance. Apron Steel Pan Conveyors are piano-hinge type conveyors for the solid waste and related industries. These pans are designed to articulate in both directions and are built out of heavy plate steel with large greaseable rollers and come in 12, 9, and 6 inch pitch. Vibratory Feeders come in a variety of sizes, and can be provided to feed our crushers and pulverizers. These can be open or closed, depending on the application. Apron Pan Feeder Screw Conveyors can be provided when required and are large heavy duty steel screw conveyors. Trough type or tube type with a variety of screw sizes are used to feed pulverizers and other process equipment. Rotary Pocket Feeders can be provided in many sizes to be utilized as air seals and feeding equipment for granular dry materials, etc. Rotary Feeder Bin Activator & Vibrating Feeder Apron Pan Feeder Steel Pan Conveyor 9 Enclosed Screw Feeder Williams can provide related components as part of a fully integrated system or supply items separately for enhancement of existing systems. RELATED EQUIPMENT Large Air Systems are available up to 400,000 ACFM including Primary and Secondary Fans, Cyclones, and necessary pipework, elbows, and transitions to connect and integrate into the system. Baghouses and Precipitators can be provided for exhaust systems to meet the most stringent requirements. Process Air Heaters can be manufactured up to 200 MBTUs. They can fire on natural gas, coke oven gas, #2 oil, #6 oil, solid fuels such as coal or coke, and a variety of other exotic fuels. These units can be single packages as shown in the picture below or designed to be shipped in separate pieces. Screening Equipment can be engineered into our system and provided for applications that require sifting or guarantees on maximum top size. Complete Computer Control Systems can be provided as part of our package and are custom designed for the customer’s end use. Additional programming can allow crushing systems to produce multiple products. High Pressure Conveying Systems can be provided in a complete system when material transport needs require long distances to travel.
