Summer Extravaganza Sunday, July 10th 5:00-10:00 pm Kick off an AMAZING week of Teen Nights with the largest and most outrageous junior high social event in New Lenox! All incoming 7th & 8th grade teens are invited and encouraged to bring a friend and a dessert to share. The Summer Extravaganza includes: There is NO COST to this awesome event. Bring a towel for the slip’n slide after Mass! “Dive In” Teen Nights July 10th 5-10 pm & July 11-14th 7-9 pm For the 4th summer in a row, St. Jude will host an outrageously exciting week of evening gatherings for junior high teens and their friends. These dynamic evenings combine hilarious community-building games with thoughtprovoking testimonials and teachings to help teens grow in faith and friendship with God. Teens can experience the Sacraments and have a blast with new and old friends (with lots of yummy snacks of course). Hot dogs & Shaving cream wiffle-ball Xtreme Taste of Faith Sun., June 26 10:30-4:30 pm @ Lewis University X-treme Taste of Faith is an incredible opportunity for junior high students to experience national youth ministry speakers/musicians at the local level! The presenters use music, games and more to ignite the fire of faith. We conclude our event with the high school students at Mass so you’ll get a real taste of the Youth Leadership Conference experience. Please register by June 10. $35 covers lunch & tee shirt. (No on-line registration or permission slip required for this service.) Yard Clean Up Party WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15TH 12:30-5 PM Put your work gloves on for an action packed day of yard work for St. Jude neighbors. We will end with a cookout. Please register on-line and turn in a permission slip by June 10. Cost is free; open to anyone willing to work! Warren Sharpe Community Center Kids Days WEDNESDAY, JUNE 29TH 1:30-3:00 PM Help lead an interactive and super-fun sports & crafts day for kids in Joliet at the Warren Sharp Center. You don’t need to be an athlete or artist to attend--just enthusiastic and willing to have fun! Sign up on line by June 24th. Help with Summer Kids Camp JULY 18TH-21ST 8-12 PM (TRAINING IS JULY 12 & 14 FROM 5-7 PM) If you like acting in skits and interacting with children, sign up now to be a student leader for St. Jude’s Summer Kids Camp. Catholic Heart WorkCamp Atlanta, GA, from June 4-11 Raise the volume of your faith and spend an action packed week learning new skills, doing home-repair, or meeting new people at social service agencies in inner city Milwaukee. We stay at Thomas Moore High School, travel to work sites during the day, and experience fellowship and high-energy programs each evening. Darst Center Mission Trip Chicago, Illinois June 30-July 3 Get a new perspective and step out of your comfort zone with an eclectic cross section of inner city Chicago social service agencies like soup kitchens, senior centers, addiction recovery homes, and children’s clubs. You will also have a day of reflection, relaxation, and sports playing and exploring at the gorgeous grounds of the Mundeline Seminary.
