The More the Merrier
With the Tkachuks in Ukraine
April 2010
“The More the Merrier” – This has become our
moto over the past few years, but with our two
new girls Diana and Sneezhana, it has truly
been merrier in our home this past month!
Pictured to the left is Sneezhana, 5 and Diana
8. Our friends from the US sent over a
package of clothes and a pair of shoes each for
the girls and what a blessing it was! It was
amazing how they lit up and put on a show for
us modeling all their clothes. It was priceless
to see their faces as they tried on each outfit
and began to relax and feel at home with us.
Sneezhana is in preschool and is the same
group as Bogdan and Diana has begun school
and is in the first grade. Diana is a sponge and
is taking in all that she is learning and reading
beautifully! Sneezhana is a happy girl all the
time, the smile you see on her face is what we
see daily, especially at the dinner table! She
says “Thank you mom, it’s delicious!” even
before she begins to eat! What a joy these two

girls are and how well they have adjusted into
our family as well as our kids to them.
Jesus Said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom
of heaven belongs to such as these.”
~ Matthew 19:14
Христос Воскрес
Воістину Воскрес!
(Christ has risen, truly He has risen!)
What a wonderful Easter celebration we had this
year, as we celebrated the resurrection of our Lord
Jesus Christ! This year we had the joy of watching
all our kids take part in an Easter Service by
reciting beautiful poems, singing songs and
performing skits about our Lord. Our older kids
even went to Vinnitsa for the day and performed a
moving skit in front of about 1000 people; they
were quite nervous, “shaking” as they described it!
I cried tears of joy as I watched my older kids
perform a skit about the temptations of this world
and the way Christ pulls and fights for them and
protects them. Our hearts were full to say the
least!
We also were able to share Christ with some
children in a nearby village along with our friends
from OM (Operation Mobilization). We are
thankful for the living God we serve and are
honored to be a part of sharing His love in
Ukraine.
Sharing the gift of Easter with
others in songs, skits and
games!

Since our family has expanded, we are full
of activity and work each day. We would
like to enroll the younger kids in some after

gymnastics, piano, guitar, etc. Whatever
they are interested in doing, we’d like to
give them the opportunity to accomplish
these things. As well as our older kids

Easter Sunday fun in the village by the river! The young man to the right is Maxim. He is the oldest boy that lived with us
(now 23). He came for a visit and to enjoy Easter with us.
May the Lord richly
