May Birthdays
Dear New Haven FamiliesThere are new and exciting events happening for New Haven.
One of our projects gathering momentum is Music Therapy.
Patty, our very enthusiastic Activities Director is collecting the
favorite music for all our residents to download for their
individual listening pleasure. We are all very positive about the
effect good music can have on our wellbeing. We know Music
Therapy will be of great benefit to our Residents’ sense of
wellbeing.
Another improvement and change we have made in our homes
is that now each building will have either a Floor Manager or
Home Coordinator. This addition will give more support,
supervision and training for our Caregiving Staff. We have
increased our Caregiving Staff to be able to give more attention
to our Residents. I am sure you have noticed the new faces. Our
goal at New Haven is to have a stable, well trained staff of
excellent Caregivers. We feel this is a step in the direction of
meeting that goal.
Candy Taylor is the Home Coordinator and Floor Manager of our
Assisted Living building. She helps support training in both
buildings. Candy; is a Veteran of New Haven and is devoted to
our Residents. She is an anchor for all of us and we appreciate
her immensely.
Karen Cole will be our Floor Manager for our Memory Care
building; she has been a New Haven Caregiver for over a year.
She has been involved with caregiving for over 30 years Karen is
a Certified Medical Assistant and has managed both a Brain
Injury Unit and a Group Home. She also has her Associate
Degree in Art and enjoys painting, drawing and doing bead work.
She lives on a farm because she prefers the country life, animals,
and gardening. Karen has lots of talent to share with the
Residents of New Haven.
Lindsey Lee is our New Haven Wellness Supervisor .She has been
with us since January and has proven to be a compassionate,
involved Nurse. She loves our Residents and wants to spend
time with each of them to make sure they are well and receiving
the appropriate care. Having come up through the ranks of
caregiving, Lindsey has great appreciation and understanding of
our Caregiving staff. She will be a tremendous support to them.
Lindsey will be supervising the Memory Care building with the
support of the Floor Manager, Home Coordinator and
Administrator. Lindsey’s phone number is 210-663-4087. You
can text her at that number with any concerns or email to
[email protected].
In astrology, those born between May 1–20 are Bulls of Taurus.
Bulls show a steady persistence in endeavors both professional and
personal, and after working hard, they are not shy about rewarding
themselves for a job well done. Those born between May 21–31 are
Gemini’s Twins. The Twins represent energetic communication and
interaction. Curious Geminis love to collect and share information.
Witty and intellectual, they attract many friends, mentors, and
colleagues.

We will miss Sara, she was a help to all of us as our Wellness
Supervisor. We appreciate her and the time she gave to our
New Haven Residents. We wish her only the best for her
future and new pursuits.
We are in the process of improving our phone system. We
have found the system we are using has become
problematic. We have put a cell phone with a dedicated line
for use in Memory Care until our new system is in place. The
number for the cell phone is 210-202-6444. Thank you for
your patience, I know it is very frustrating to have dropped
calls and the inability to get through on a consistent basis.
I appreciate all you do for our Resident as family members.
We have the best families in Texas! I know that is because
our Residents raised you to be the wonderful people you are.
It is my honor and pleasure to work with you to provide the
care we all want for our loved ones.
Thank YouSharron
