Main Street Portsmouth Raises $5,000!
On February 22, 2014 at the Elks City
Club, Main Street Portsmouth hosted its
first ever fundraising dinner. With over
150 ticket holders, volunteers, and workers, Main Street Portsmouth came out on
top with a net income of $5,000.
Main Street Portsmouth would like to
thank every one for your continued support. Your contributions of time, money,
and most importantly your collaborative
efforts of reemerging downtown Portsmouth as the place to live, work, and
play.
Every year Main Street Portsmouth sets a
program of work in each area of Design,
Operations/Organization, Business Enhancement, and Promotions/Marketing.
The tasks outlined in these work plans
are executed by volunteers and a director, making it a true community effort to
keep downtown vibrant, active, and positive.

yearly events. As a 501c3, we are an economic development organization that
works specifically to enhance the district
and improve the image of Downtown
while promoting the great stores and

We Moved!
Déjà Vu
Déjà Vu Consignment & Gifts has moved! They are
now located at 719 Chillicothe Street in downtown Portsmouth. Their new store is located
in a convenient location at the corner of Chillicothe and 8th Street, near Kroger grocery
store. There is a large parking lot located directly next to the building for customers to
park their while they shop, and there is plenty of street parking available as well. With the
extra space in their shop, Déjà Vu is expanding their infant and toddler inventory. With
spring approaching, they will now be accepting spring and summer clothing. Owner Jennifer Meenach says “We love the new space. It’s an exciting time and allows us to be in a
convenient location while reaching out to more people. This new building also allows us to
hold more clothing and accessories. We are very excited for our new shop!”
