The Five-Span Stone Bridge was built in 1903 by Scottish stone masons and restored
in 1984. Its remarkable design is the only one of its kind on the North American.
From Fitzroy Provincial Park to the Five-Span Stone Bridge
• Head southeast on Canon Smith Drive/Ottawa Road 5 for 2.5 km
• Turn right on Galetta Side Road/Ottawa Road 22 for 12.7 km
• Turn left to continue south on County Road 29 for 7.5 km
• In the village of Pakenham, turn left on Kinburn Side Road/ County Road 20 for 100 m to find
the Five-Span Stone Bridge

• Continue west across the Five Span Bridge Kinburn Side Road/County Road 20 for 100 m
• Turn left on County Road 29 for 240 m
• Take the first right onto Renfrew Street for 120 m
• St. Peter Celestine Church is on the left at 139 Renfrew Street

• Head back, southeast on Renfrew Street to County Road 29
• Turn right on County Road 29 and head south for 9.3 km
• Turn right at Bennies Corners Road for 1.5 km
• Turn left on Concession Road 8 for 1 km
• Entrance for Mill of Kintail is on the left
Blueberry Mountain features the highest point in the County, overlooking a breathtaking 506 hectares of natural forest and wetlands.
This nature preserve named “cliffLAND” honours the Clifford Family; stewards of the land.
From Mill of Kintail Conservation Area to Blueberry Mountain
• PLEASE NOTE: Blueberry Mountain is located on private property. Please contact in advance to arrange access to the walking trail. 613-259-3412
• Head southeast on Concession Road 8 to Wolfe Grove Road for 4.8 km
• Turn right at Wolf Grove Road (County Road 16) for 23.5 km
• Turn right at County Road 511 (towards Calabogie) for 6.0 km
• Turn left at French Line Road for 7.7 km
• Continue onto Lavant Darling Road for 5.6 km
• Turn right at Flower Station Road for 6.2 km
• Turn right at Hills of Peace Road for 1.4 km to parking area at the end of this road
The Showy Lady’s Slipper Orchids at Purdon Conservation Area are the greatest abundance found anywhere in Canada– over
16,000 plants. This breathtaking colony of orchids burst into bloom every year between mid-June and July.
From Blueberry Mountain to Purdon Conservation Area
• Head back southwest on Hills of Peace Road 1.4 km to Flower Station Road
• Turn left at Flower Station Road for 6.2 km
• Turn right at Black Creek Road for 11.2 km
• Turn left at South Lavant Road (County Road 16) for 2.1 km
• Turn right at Umphersons Mill Road for 4.6 km
• Turn left at Concession Road 8 (Umphersons Mill Road South) for 5.4 km
• Purdon Conservation Area is on the right
Operating between 1903 and 1920, the Silver Queen Mica Mine was a marvel of its day. Minerals were shipped by barge along the
Rideau Canal and by train from Perth. Located within Murphys Point Provincial Park, the mine is open for tours in the summer.
From Purdon Conservation Area to Murphy’s Point Provincial Park/ Silver Queen Mica Mine
• Head south on Concession Road 8 (Umphersons Mill Road South) for 2.1 km, toward Watson’s Corners Road (County Road 8)
• Turn right at Watsons Corners Road (County Road 8) for 3.1 km, turn left at McDonalds Corners Road (County Road 12) for 9.7 km Turn right at Fallbrook Road
(County Road 7) for 5.8 km
• Turn left to stay on Fallbrook Road (County Road 7) for 2.7 km
• Turn right at County Road 511 for 6.8 km
• Turn left at Highway 7 for 650 m towards the Town of Perth
• Turn right at Wilson Street (signs for Perth Business Section) for 1.4 km
• Turn left at Foster Street for one block
• Take the first right onto Gore Street and proceed southeast through town for 1.3 km
• Continue southeast (Gore Street becomes Rideau Ferry Road/ County Road 1) for 6 km
• Turn right at Elm Grove Road (County Road 21) heading southwest for 11 km
• Entrance to Murphy’s Point Provincial Park and the Silver Queen Mica Mine is on the left. Daily vehicle permit fees are applicable.
Beautiful Stewart Park, a five-acre green space along the Tay River, was donated to the Town of Perth in memory of the Honourable
John Alexander Stewart, who was a prominent figure in the town’s history.
From Silver Queen Mica Mine to Stewart Park
• As you exit the park laneway head northeast on Elm Grove Road (County Road 21) for 11 km
• Turn left on Rideau Ferry Road (County Road 1) for 6 km
• Continue on Gore Street heading northwest for 1 km
• Turn left on Market Street (immediately after Perth Town Hall, 80 Gore Street East)
• Stewart Park is located directly behind the Perth Town Hall and Band Shell
• Take Highway 7 eastbound to head back towards Ottawa or Fitzroy Provincial Park
