Kera 3 Final pH 3
Kera 3 is the last step of the smoothing system. It brings

The new technology utilizes the Carob bean gum an extract
from the carob tree. The main components of carob are
large carbohydrates sugars.The new formula is also infused

Brazil, the seed produces the precious oil used for soap,

KeraSpa Intense
Alpha Keratin and Cysteine
Hair is 90% Alpha Keratin. Keratin is a
highly resistant fibrous protein made ​​up
of long chains of amino acids. It is aligned
in the direction of the vertical axis of the
hair and consisting of multiple twisted
fibrils. Cysteine is the most important
amino acid in keratin. It is utilized to break
down hydrogen bridges in the hair, changing its structure thus making it smoother
and silkier.

Color middle length & ends: we strongly suggest
applying a semi-permanent color or ammonia free
color. Permanent color applied on middle lengths &
ends after a KERASPA may affect the durability of the
treatment.

STEP BY STEP
1.Wash the hair with Kera 1 Shampoo; lather the hair
in the direction of the cuticles and rinse. Repeat.
Towel dry the hair (No dryer) and keep 50% to 60%
humidity in the hair all through application.
2.Shake KERA 2 before using and pour 1 oz to 1.35 oz
(30–40 ml) in a plastic bowl. Use KeraSpa clips and
part the hair in four sections. Start at the nape area,
take thin sections 1/4 inches – 0.64 cm and apply
with brush and remove excess of product with a fine
tooth comb. Be careful not to overload with product.
Leave product for 20 – 30 minutes.
Too much product can cause inoffensive
vapor in the room.
Note: For better curl reduction on African
American hair or very coarse hair, use the double
application technique: Apply Kera 2, comb and
let stand 20 minute and do not rinse. Re-apply
over the first application, comb and let stand for
another 15 minutes. Follow with Step 3.
3.Dry the hair 100 % with a dryer and a round brush to
align the cuticles.
4.With a 450°F /232°C flat iron (normal or virgin hair),
press the hair taking thin see through sections (1/8
inch- 0.32 cm) 7-10 times each strand of hair. For
damaged or bleached hair reduce the heat to 420°F
/210°C and press 5-7 times on each strand.
5.Rinse hair abundantly (NO SHAMPOO). It is
important you rinse WELL (approximately 5
minutes) to ensure the solution has been eliminated
as it will remove any unpleasant smell.
6.Remove excess water and apply the Kera 3 FINAL -1
oz to 1.35 oz (30–40 ml) all through the hair, leave
for 5 minutes and rinse. (Important step).

7.Do not use conditioners or styling product after the
treatment. For better results, style the hair with the
KeraSpa Amazon Active Shine Fluid and finish with a
flat iron.
8.To maintain the effectiveness of the KeraSpa
INTENSE smoothing system, we strongly
recommend using the KeraSpa shampoo S
Non-sulfate free and the conditioner C Anti-Frizz.

Can the treatment be used on blond, damaged or highlighted hair?
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes the treatment can be used on this type of hair. But we recommend you set your flat iron at 420°F -210°C- and use it
on the hair only 5 to 7 times each strand.
How much time should be allowed for the treatment?
Generally, 2 1/2 hours should be allowed to perform the treatment
Can the hair be clipped up or pulled back?
Yes. You can clip or pull back your hair after the first shampoo.
How many days after the treatment can the hair be washed?
The hair can be washed the same day
How long does the treatment last?
What has replaced the formaldehyde?
Generally the treatment will last for 12 to 16 weeks or more with proper home care.
We added more cysteines (amino acids) in the formula and the combination of high heat level of the flat iron allows
the physical transformation of the hair.
The treatment can be reapplied after 30 days
How often can the treatment be done?
Can an excess of protein or/and keratin cause hair breakage?
All Keraspa products are formulated with the perfect protein dosage. However, it is possible that an excess of protein
can cause hair breakage.
Is the reapplication of the treatment done only on the regrowth or on all the hair?
The reapplication of the treatment is done on all the hair. You will notice better results and the infusion of keratin can
only improve the hair.
Can I use any type of flat iron?
NO, you should use a 450°F- 232°C flat Iron that maintains a constant temperature all through the treatment. We
strongly suggest to use the Keraspa Flat Iron.
Can the hair be colored before the treatment?
Yes. We recommend 2 days before for highlights, or hair color with high ammonia levels 10, 9, 8, 7, 6 with 30 or 40
volumes peroxide. Or 2 days after the service if levels desired are 5, 4, 3, 2 or 1 as well as color deposits.
Can the Keraspa smoothing system change the hair color?
Yes it is possible the color could change 1 or 2 tones especially with blondes or brunettes. is needed please consult Kera Food in the technical guide.
If a color correction

When can I use styling products?
Keraspa Amazon Fluid can be used the same day and all other KERASPA styling products can be used
after the first shampoo, also try our Kera Plus a daily smoother that helps eliminate frizz.
Can children, pregnant or nursing women receive the treatment?
There is no counter indication that the treatment is harmful to children, pregnant or nursing
women. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO CONSULT A DOCTOR BEFORE RECEIVING THE TREATMENT.
Can the treatment be done on chemically relaxed or straightened hair?
Yes, you must wait a minimum of 20 days before using the Keraspa INTENSE smoothing treatment.

Is this treatment good for African American hair types?

Kera Pure is a purifying shampoo that removes all
impurities from the hair. Contains plant extracts,
preparing the hair to receive all technical services.
You must use Kera Pure before the Kera Kontrol Total
smoothing system and before Kera Food to refresh a
color service.

Step by Step Hydrolyzed Lupine Protein: Stimulates proteins synthesis and
structures the lipids to promote keratinisation of the hair fiber.
1.Wash the hair with Kera Pure; lather the hair in the direction of the cuticles rinse
and repeat (always 2 shampoos).
Hydrolysed Wheat Proteins: one of the most nutrient proteins
due to its complete amino acid content
2. With a hair dryer dry the hair 80%, if hair is porous or damaged only 60%.
Hydrolyzed milk proteins: A moisturising agent that detangles
hair and makes them more manageable and softer.
Sunflower Seeds Oil: is a moisturizing component that

smooth and silky
3. Start to apply at the nape area; draw ½ inch-1.3 cm sections in the hair. Apply
Kera Kontrol Total with a brush and comb for even distribution. Draw another
½ inch-1.3cm section and follow with the same technique all over the head. Let
process for 30 minutes (all types of hair).
4.Rinse for a minimum of 5 minutes. Make sure that the treatment is completely
rinsed; this will avoid any bad odors..
Carbocysteine: is an amino acid with anti-oxidising properties.

5. Blow dry hair 100% dry with your favorite brush. Draw ½ inch-1.3 cm sections
and flat iron each section at 410°F or 210°C, 3–5 times. For very curly hair, you
could use 450°F or 232°C approximately 6-10 times

Kera Express
Kera Express is an excellent treatment for all types of hair; it will
reconstitute the proteins in the hair and Increase brightness and
softness to the touch. This treatment contains cysteines and wheat
proteins that activates on all types of hair. It will prolong the KeraSpa
smoothing treatment or other smoothing treatments.
It cleans conditions, replenish proteins and adds shine to the hair. It
also reduces the volume and frizz in the hair in a single treatment.

Kera Express before Color service
Color the client’s hair as usual. After the process, shampoo
as usual. Do not apply any conditioner.
Begin with Kera Express 1 twice then towel dry the hair. Apply the
hair color. After the color has processed and the hair has been thoroughly rinsed, DO NOT SHAMPOO apply Kera Express Protect 2 and
style hair as desired.
KERA EXPRESS 1
Once the shampoo is totally rinsed out, apply a nickel-sized
portion of Kera Express 1 in your hands and rub together
to warm up the product. Apply the product to the middle
and ends of hair ONLY. Do not apply to the scalp. Distribute Kera Express 1 in the direction of the cuticles without
touching the scalp. Add another nickel-sized portion of
the product and use the same technique for 5 minutes to
achieve penetration well into cuticles. Wait 5 minutes and
rinse thoroughly.
KERA PROTECT EXPRESS 2
Towel dry the hair to remove any excess water and spray
Kera Protect Express 2 all over the hair and comb. Style the
hair. This treatment does activate with heat, so if you use a
flat or curling iron, you will have a better result.

Begin with Kera Express 1 twice and dry the hair completely. Apply
foils. Remove foils after desired highlighted tone has been reached,
rinse hair well and apply Kera Express Protect 2. Style the hair as
desired.

and process to desired curl, then neutralize. Rinse hair thoroughly
