CHINESE LANTERN ACTIVITY
The first full moon of the year signals the last of the 15 day New Year Celebration. On this day,
thousands of colorful lanterns can be seen hanging everywhere to honor the big bright moon.
Follow the instructions below to make your own Chinese Lantern.

Color and decorate your lantern.
Cut the lantern and handle along the solid black line with scissors (

Place the handle to the side.
Fold the lantern along the gray line (

5. Cut along the dotted gray lines (-----). Stop at the black (

6. Unfold the paper and lay it flat. Apply glue over the gray area.

7. Roll the sheet of paper around until the ends meet.
8. Seal the glue and paper together.
9. Next, apply glue over the gray area on the handle.
10. Press the glue on the inside of the lantern.
