This annual publication, with an impressive, statewide distribution of 500,000 guides, lists over 400 festivals throughout the state in a handy 5.25” x 8.25” booklet. The Indiana Festival Guide is one of Indiana’s most requested guidebooks because attending festivals is a favorite activity of Hoosiers and visitors to Indiana. Participation in the 2013 Indiana Festival Guide is available to ISFA festival members and associate members through listings and display ads. Non-members are also invited to purchase display advertising. As an ISFA member, you are associated with one of the nation’s largest festival organizations, connected to over 400 Indiana festivals and events and linked to various other organizations in Indiana, including the Indiana Office of Tourism Development. ISFA offers workshops and conventions to members, awards scholarships and creates partnerships to maximize visitation to Indiana through festivals and events. Each year, ISFA produces the very popular Indiana Festival Guide as well as the official festival website for visitors, IndianaFestivals.org. Super Associate Listing�������������������������������������������� $425 ADDED VALUE OPPORTUNITIES All non-festival organizations are eligible for added value opportunities that enhance participation in the 2013 Indiana Festival Guide. • Each organization that purchases a total of $3,000 or more of presence in the 2013 Indiana Festival Guide will receive one free Associate Membership and will appear on the Associate Member page. • Each organization that purchases a total of $5,000 or more will also receive one free Festival Membership and will appear as a festival listing. • Each organization that purchases a total of $9,000 or more will also receive two free Festival Memberships and will appear as a festival listing. Special Added Value for Destination Marketing Organizations* • Each DMO who purchases an Associate Membership will also receive a special designation on the listing on the Local Visitor Information page in the 2013 Indiana Festival Guide. The DMO will be designated as an Associate Member and the listing will be shaded and boxed. Samples • For each DMO who purchases a total of $2,200 or more of presence in the 2013 Indiana Festival Guide, the sentence, “See ad on pg. XX.” will be added to the end of the listing on the Local Visitor Information page. The DMO will also be designated as a Partner and the listing will be boxed. * A DMO is defined as a convention and visitors bureau, chamber of commerce or local tourism office. Artwork SPECIFICATIONS NOTE: 2-COLOR AD SIZES HAVE CHANGED FOR THE 2013 ISSUE Acceptable formats: • Acrobat PDF (8.0 or higher), exported as 2-color (not RGB, see correct pdf export below), compression is at least 300 or none. Note: If possible, please check that ads are 2-color and not 4-color or RGB in the full version of Adobe Acrobat. Revise Your 2012 Ad If you ran an ad in the 2012 Indiana Festival Guide, the text of your ad can be revised for you at no cost. Instead of submitting new artwork, communicate your text changes to your Regional Account Executive. • Adobe InDesign (CS3 or higher), with all fonts and images packaged. • Adobe Illustrator EPS (CS3 or higher), convert text to outlines and include all images. - Remove all extra spot colors from ad. • Photoshop TIF files, resolution must be 300 dpi minimum for grayscale or CMYK TIFs. For 2-color ads, use spot channels or create a duotone. - Duotone Tip: when creating a duotone image in Photoshop, adjust the curves of each of the two colors instead of using 100% of each which makes the images appear “muddy.” See page 4 for Duotone sample Display ad material checklist 1.
