Capital Management, a family-owned and managed finance
company founded in 1979, provides investment advisory
services to individuals and organizations in multiple countries
and prides itself on prioritizing personal relationships
with customers. In an effort to ensure its critical client
information is well protected and accessible when needed,
the company knew they needed the right technology
to maintain continuous system reliability for analysts.
As a preventative measure, the company reached out to
Dell, long a trusted partner, for counsel in selecting a new
backup and disaster recovery solution to ensure faster,
more secure safeguarding of customer data. The simple
solution was based on Dell AppAssure, Dell SonicWALL
firewalls, and a Dell EqualLogic storage array. The IT
upgrade resulted in the improved disaster response time to
recover critical systems within the four-hour RTO, enabling
continued access to its Microsoft SQL server-based portfolio
accounting system, where client trades are made.

Capacity demands and inefficient backup processes
threatened to stymie the quick growth ATMI, a
semiconductor solutions manufacturing company, was
experiencing. Refining its focus, the company set out
to find a faster way to build and provision servers to
meet internal demand and to reduce system backup
times. Committed to promptly providing services that
increase customers’ efficiencies, the company turned
to Dell to simplify storage, reduce system backup times,
and streamline their technology infrastructure.
ATMI began implementing Dell servers, storage, and
networking solutions, starting with Dell PowerEdge R620
and R820 rack servers. Following the server deployment, the
company implemented Dell Networking S4810 switches in
its data center and launched several Dell Compellent storage
area networks (SANs). ATMI started using Dell AppAssure
software for tapeless backup of its database and Exchange
Server environments and installed Dell Networking switches
at remote sites. ATMI now saves thousands in operating
costs while better meeting the growing needs of business.

Experiencing the results of national school district budget
cuts, Bay District Schools — a Dell server customer
since the mid-1990s — sought to cut technology costs
while maintaining and improving services. Bay District
Schools turned to Dell to secure a technology solution
that could provide better support, simplify management,
and lower the total cost of ownership for storage.
Bay District Schools migrated its file shares, Citrix
XenServer virtual machines, and Microsoft SQL Server
databases to two Dell Compellent Storage Center SANs
with two Dell PowerVault MD1200 direct attached
storage arrays and Dell AppAssure backup and recovery
software, with assistance from Dell Data Migration
Services, to increase storage capacity and improve
recovery objectives. The software allows administrators
to provision any size virtual volume upfront and consume
disk space only when data is written. The district now
has an elegant data protection and disaster recovery
architecture that requires very little manual intervention.

Publisher MPS Limited built its business on service
excellence. In order to keep up with the rapidly
changing landscape in the industry, the company took
note of any roadblocks to providing quality customer
care. Tape-based data backups and recovery slowed
down the company’s capability for sustainability as
backup over runs were commonplace, and each day

The company deployed an on-premise solution based

With 12 branches worldwide, Cadac Group was poised to
continue their market expansion into Asia Pacific, Europe,
