After 25 years of providing propulsion for the world’s single-aisle,
150-passenger aircraft, IAE’s V2500 engine is now destined to power
military aircraft for the first time as a part of the new KC-390, built by
Embraer. This new multi-role, tanker/transport aircraft will be
launched by the Brazilian Air Force. Five additional countries have
agreed to join as industrial partners, with resulting orders now totaling
60 airplanes. International Aero Engines: more than 7,000 engines
delivered or on firm order with the worldwide fleet accumulating more
