It is indeed a dish that has gone world over and today is found to be prepared in various methods, with different spices, ingredients, all culturally, geographically and even religiously specific. Each type of Biryani has a story of its own. Here’s a list of all the different types of Biryani variations we have brought to your table. LUCKNOWI (AWADHI) BIRYANI ( C / M ) The City of the Nawabs is also famous for its lip-smacking Biryani known as Lucknowi Biryani. KOLKATA BIRYANI ( C / M ) After the 1857 Sepoy Mutiny, the meat was scarce, so the Nawabs in West Bengal started adding potatoes to the Biryani, which became an instant hit in Kolkata.
