Trust Federal Credit Union was awarded a national marketing award by the
National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU). The NAFCU
presented Trust with an award for our Mobile Branch as “Best Innovative
Product/Service” to our members.
Trust FCU deployed the mobile branch on-site during the new construction
of the Gunbarrel branch. The mobile branch allowed members to perform
teller transactions and have ATM accessibility in the East Brainerd Area
while our new branch was underway.

Financial Facts
The FBI recently sent out a warning of a new spam email scheme that involves a type of malware called “Gameover”.
(As of February, 2011)
Members
5,249
Assets
$42,200,331
Deposits
$37,986,577
Loans
$28,314,498
In this scheme, the Credit Union member receives a fake email from a Federal Agency
(NACHA, the Federal Reserve, the FDIC or NCUA) attempting to trick the recipient into opening a link to resolve some type of problem with their account or deal with a recent transaction.
Once the link is opened, “Gameover” takes control of the person’s computer and thieves have
access to usernames, passwords and eventually money in the account.
While warnings of phishing scams have been widely publicized, this is just a reminder of how
susceptible account holders can be to malicious attacks. With the increased use of mobile devices to transact business, it is important to remember that smartphones are simply a smaller computer that allows another outlet for information being compromised.
Below are some important steps to help you avoid falling victim to internet fraud and reducing
the risk of loss:




Maintain the newest version of anti-virus software on your computer and mobile device;
Do not open any embedded links from emails if you doubt the authenticity of the sender;
Access your account often to verify the balance and check for any unauthorized transactions
– report any discrepancies immediately.
Remember—Trust FCU will never solicit any personal information via standard email
Thank you to everyone that attended our 78th Annual Meeting on Thursday, March 8, 2012 inside
the Unum Atrium. We had a great turnout and had the opportunity to meet new members and catch
up with long time members. We also gave away $500 Visa Gift Cards to 3 very lucky winners!
Please join us in congratulating them.
