Sometimes but very rarely in dry forests. They live in Central and South America. They can not survive in cold weather, instead they need hot weather. Kinkajous are not good pets. They are nocturnal so they are awake at night and sleeping during the day so you would have to keep an eye on your kinkajou all night long. Also they have ferocious bites. This is the range kinkajous live in, Central America and South America. Food Kinkajous don't have the name honey bears for no reason! They raid honey from bees nests and eat it. They also feast on fruit! Kinkajous' main meal is usually fruit and honey. Kinkajous also eat small mammals such as, frogs, birds, and insects but mainly fruit. Adaptations Kinkajous have lots of adaptations. Kinkajous are nocturnal and that helps them so they can sneak on their sleeping prey and get food easily. They can also turn their feet backwards to climb on trees easier. Kinkajo us have dog like feet. They also have a very useful adaptation, they have tails with the same muscles as their arms so it is kind of like they have a third arm. Kinkajous use this third arm to hang from trees easily. Kinkajou hanging from a tree by it's tail. Human Impact Although kinkajous aren't endangered they are harmed. Deforestation hurts them the most. Humans do help kinkajous but not that much. t Class and Changes Kinkajous are mammals they are also vertebrate.
