BIOGRAPHIES Tom Haak, Founder & Director, HR Trend Institute and Author of 'The Future of HR' Tom has an extensive experience in HR Management in multinational companies. From 2006-2014 he was the global HR Director for ARCADIS, the leading global natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, with 27,000 employees worldwide. Prior to ARCADIS he worked in senior HR positions at Aon, KPMG and Philips Electronics. Tom has a keen interest in innovative HR and how organizations can benefit from trend shifts. Tom is known as an innovator, and in the organizations where he led HR he succeeded to have a large impact with small teams. Tom has a big international network. Dimmy van Zanten, Chief Operating Officer, Cubiks Dimmy leads and facilitates Cubiks' operations in five countries; the USA, France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, advising the Country Managers and supporting them to achieve their goals. Dimmy is active on delivering executive assessments and highly bespoke solutions for a number of international assignments which he combines with being Account Director for some of Cubiks' largest clients. As a Partner, Dimmy contributes to the governance and development of the group through Board sub-committees and various sounding boards to develop new innovations. Dimmy studied Psychology, in particular methodology and techniques for psychometric research. A large part of this was focused on classical test theory, item response theory (IRT) and designing research projects. Specialising in the practical implications of theoretical modelling led him on to work as an R&D psychologist for the Dutch police. There he worked in the niche area of measuring integrity, conducting studies and publishing research in this field. A key point in Dimmy's career before Cubiks was working at Randstad Netherlands, where he took responsibility for psychometrics and assessment strategy across their whole Dutch workforce. Anna Janczak, Group Head of Diversity & Inclusion, Prudential Anna joined Prudential 's Group Talent Development team based in London in 2012. She has recently been appointed as the first head of the diversity and inclusion for Prudential Group. Previously, Anna contributed to the Group Diversity & Inclusion agenda while leading the Group-wide high potential talent development programmes. As a qualified executive coach, Anna coaches a limited number of high potential individuals from the organisation. In 2004-2011 Anna was Associate Director, Head of Professional Services at World Economic Forum in Geneva, Switzerland and in New York, where she also led a portfolio of activities focusing on diversity, skills gaps and talent mobility. In 2000-2004 Anna worked with the Polish president Aleksander Kwasniewski in Warsaw, Poland, as a speechwriter and later as Senior Specialist in the Office of International Affairs. Sharon Peake, Group Head of Talent, SABMiller Sharon Peake is the Director Group Talent Management for SABMiller, one of the largest global brewers, with more than 200 beer brands and over 70,000 employees globally in 80 countries. She has been employed by SABMiller since 2011, with responsibility for the strategic approach to talent management for SABMiller globally including: Talent identification and review, succession and strategic workforce planning, psychometric assessment, career planning and development, diversity and inclusion, employee engagement and executive talent acquisition. Previously Sharon was the Director of Talent and Assessment at Reed Elsevier, responsible for talent identification and succession planning across the Group. In her 13 years with Reed Elsevier she held various roles including Change Manager, Programme Manager, Head of HR Operations, and various HR Manager roles across the different operating divisions. Sharon is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist and has undertaken research and coaching in career change. Sharon's particular areas of interest are helping people to achieve their potential and helping individuals experiencing career transition. Dom has worked in the Virgin Group since 2009 and before joining Virgin Media he spent 3 years as UK People Director for Virgin Active Health Clubs where he served on the UK Executive Board during a period of rapid expansion and acquisition. Dom has significant international telecoms experience in Europe and the U.S. from HR Business Partner and programme management roles at Cable & Wireless and Orange. Isabel Martins, Leadership & Talent Strategist Director, Accenture Isabel is Talent Strategy & Leadership Matters Director at Accenture France and Benelux. In this role, Isabel builds programmes to drive leadership and talent development and translate Accenture's business objectives into talent strategy. Her key responsibilities and interests are around the retention and career planning of top executives and high potentials. Isabel joined Accenture 12 years ago after working in a variety of general HR, training and L&D roles throughout her previous career. Supporting talent is a topic she's passionate about, especially with the challenges this brings as our workplaces continually change. Jouko van Aggelen, Head of People Analytics, Cubiks Jouko leads the Dutch team. Alongside managing the Dutch business he enjoys supporting his international and national clients with selecting, detecting and developing their current and future key players. He has an extensive track-record in the design and implementation of live and online assessment solutions for different purposes; varying from graduate selection to assessing executive teams. He is considered as an expert in (cross-cultural) leadership assessment and a broad range of Talent management solutions. Jouko holds a master's degree in occupational and in personality psychology and has a further postgraduate qualification in Business Administration. He has worked and delivered on most continents and next to his role as country manager he is working towards a PhD at the University of Amsterdam researching 360 feedback in a cross-cultural context. Dr. Nicola Millard, Head of Customer Insight & Futurology - Global Innovation Team, BT Nicola is head of customer insight and futures in BT's Global Innovation team. Despite working for a technology company, Nicola isn't actually a technologist and combines psychology with futurology to try and anticipate what might be lying around the corner for both customers and organisations (sadly, her crystal ball is currently broken). Nicola has now worked for BT for 24 years. She has done a number of jobs around the BT business, including user interface design, customer service and business consulting. She was involved with a number of BT "firsts" including the first application of intelligent systems into BT's call centres and BT's initial experimentation with home working. Nicola got her PhD from Lancaster University in 2005, published her first book in 2009 and now spends most of her time doing research, writing blogs, articles and white papers. Last year she was named by ICMI as one of the top 10 most influential customer service Tweeters in the world. Nicola has also appeared on both the BBC (Radio and TV) and Channel 4 in the UK, as well as Sky News in Australia. She has done a TED talk about why people accept or reject technologies and is also a judge on a number of award panels, including the Institute of Customer Service awards. When she's not doing all that, Nicola travels around the world presenting at conferences and running workshops with an assortment of organisations including banks, travel companies and retailers, to name but a few. People Insights serves a variety of client organizations and McKinsey's internal HR across talent management (retention, motivation, recruiting,…). Example experience include: Helping an insurer reduce employee attrition from 30% to 15% while saving millions spent on retention bonus having no impact; Serving a major Telecom identifying true drivers of employee motivation while optimizing 100 mln in compensation; etc. Bruce also leads McKinsey's suite of OrgSolutions in EMEA serving clients on organizational health and performance, organizational design and talent management. He published in the McKinsey Quarterly and frequently speaks at conferences (e.g., Wharton People Analytics Conf) Bruce is part of McKinsey Brussels Office. He started as generalist consultant in 2009 and spent three years in the New York Office. Bruce holds a Master of Science in Management and Masters degree in Business Engineering from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and the University of Ghent. Benjamin Joseph, CEO, Training Express Benjamin is co-founder and CEO of Training Express and Learnlight and has driven the growth of the group to over 350,000 learners in over 150 countries worldwide. In the last 10 years he has led the building of a cloud-based learning platform which is now used by the world's most prestigious educational entities such as Oxford University and Pearson. Born in London, Ben is passionate about training and has been a trainer, a trainer of trainers and a coach on communication and public speaking. He is passionate about learning and for over 20 years has been looking at the ways students really learn and how trainers and technology can be best combined to deliver optimum results.
