misha + nick real weddings September 5 I St. Louis Park, MN a modern vintage 158 K fter visiting local fabric shops for inspiration, Misha Muñoz (28 and an advertising account executive) and Nick Colich (29 and a liquor store co-owner) found the ivory-and-black French toile pattern that became the center of their décor. When they couldn’t find it for rent, they bought the material and had linens custom-made. Colors like charcoal, ivory, black and gray complemented the toile. —JD the ceremony décor The paper flowers looked especially classic in white. the centerpieces For a dramatic effect, zinc birdbaths filled with hydrangeas, orchids and moss topped the tables. the bridesmaids The four girls wore knee-length charcoal dresses and held soft pink, ivory and green bouquets similar to Misha’s. the boutonniere Nick and the guys wore mini cymbidium orchids, seeded eucalyptus and bunny tail grass. the invitations The custom-made invites were printed on heavy card stock with tiny gray letterpress dots. Misha mailed them in boxes to protect the handsewn ivory silk dupioni flower applied onto each (and inspired by one on her dress). the ceremony Ivory and gray ribbon, glass garland, candleholders and paper flowers hung from the ceiling to create a backdrop behind the altar. the cake An oversize fondant flower served as the cake’s focal point.
