Bruce Guthro has long been a prominent singer, musician and storyteller, not least.
Last year's sold out Christmas concerts showed how Danes love the stories that
Bruce Guthro tells. Luckily, the feeling is mutual when the songs are accompanied
by stories of Christmas parties and the curious personalities from back home
in Nova Scotia, Canada.
His skills as a troubadour and a storyteller lead the music straight into people's hearts,
and one of the main reasons for Guthro's success is his ability to reach the audience.
His songs cross the lines between pop and folk and demonstrate the songwriter's
Incredible ability to put very different experiences into words so that you would think
he himself had experienced them all.
In November / December, Bruce will visit Denmark once again with a big arranged
Celtic X-mas show. With him on stage, Bruce Guthro has his international six-piece band
with members from both Ireland, Canada and Denmark. A great team that plays well
together. Many people do especially notice the beautiful and talented Irish-Celtic violinist
Roisin Ryan. Particularly when she is at the microphone singing with her beautiful and
delicate voice on a few of the songs in the show. Matt Bashford from Ireland completes
the authentic Celtic sound with his many flutes
and Uilleann pipes.
