LED: Light Emitting Diode
LEDs operate on safe light current and have a very low current consumption. In comparison
with traditional lighting, a saving of up to 75% can be accomplished. As a result of this low
current consumption an LED will also last much longer, approximately 80,000 hours. This
means that, for instance, with a consumption of 8 hours a day and 7 days a week the LED will
have a durability of 28 years!

LED’s werken op veilige zwakstroom en hebben een zeer laag stroomverbruik. In vergelijking
met traditionele verlichting kan een besparing tot 75% worden bereikt. Door dit lage
stroomverbruik gaat een LED ook enorm lang mee, zo’n 80.000 uur. Dit betekent dat bij een
gebruik van 8 uur per dag en 7 dagen per week de LED een levensduur heeft van 28 jaar!

DRU, AL MEER DAN
250 JAAR SUCCESVOL!
DRU werd opgericht in 1754 en is daarmee een van
de oudste industriële bedrijven van Nederland. Grote
bekendheid kreeg het bedrijf door de productie van
gietijzeren potten en pannen. Later werd overgeschakeld
op kachels en sinds de ontdekking van het aardgas in
Slochteren (1959) is DRU zich gaan specialiseren in
de ontwikkeling en productie van een breed scala aan
gasverwarmingsapparaten. Zo groeide DRU uit tot de
toonaangevende producent van gaskachels in Europa,
met vestigingen in Nederland, België en Groot-Brittannië.
DRU, SUCCESSFUL FOR OVER 250 YEARS!
DRU was founded in 1754 and as such is one of the oldest
industrial companies in the Netherlands. The company
gained its reputation through its production of cast-iron
pots and pans. A little further down the line the company
switched over to producing fireplaces, and since the
discovery of natural gas in Slochteren (in 1959) DRU has
specialised in the development and production of a wide
range of gas-fired heating appliances. DRU evolved into
the leading European producer of gas-fired fireplaces, with
branches in the Netherlands, Belgium and Great Britain.
Range
The current range of gas and electric fireplaces and wood
burners is the culmination of immense experience and
development at the highest of levels. DRU gas fireplaces
are developed with low energy consumption, high output
and the environment in mind.
Environment
At DRU we strive to be as environmentally-aware as
we can. All our products meet the strictest of quality
assurances and inspections. Moreover, DRU ensures
the energy reserves remain intact for future generations,
which is why we presently support numerous projects
including a Ugandan one, where local people can plant
new trees to ultimately better provide for themselves.
Assortiment
Het huidige assortiment van gashaarden, houtkachels
en elektrische haarden is het resultaat van jarenlange
ervaring en ontwikkeling op het hoogste niveau.
De gashaarden van DRU worden ontwikkeld met
een laag energieverbruik, hoge rendementen en zijn
milieuvriendelijk, zonder afgifte van fijnstoffen.
Milieu
DRU zet zich volledig in als het gaat om het behoud van
het milieu. Alle producten voldoen aan de allerstrengste
kwaliteitseisen en keuringen. Bovendien zorgt DRU ervoor
dat de energiereserves intact blijven voor toekomstige
generaties. Daarom worden inmiddels diverse projecten
gesteund, waaronder het Oeganda-project waar lokale
mensen nieuwe bomen kunnen planten om uiteindelijk
beter in hun levensonderhoud te kunnen voorzien.
