Tony and Eileen Holland are celebrating 30 years of success in their
business industry this June. The couple incorporated as Isotech Inc. in
June of 1986 as an independent sales organization reselling hardware
for Unisys Corportion and supporting one of its primary operating systems, providing software and creating custom programs. They quickly
expanded from there and now serve seven Missouri counties with business services.
“We joined the Excelsior Springs Chamber of Commerce as a technology provider to the rural citizens and businesses. We wanted to contribute to the events and meet the businesses in all of the regions that
we serve,” said Tony.
In November 2000, after a total make over, Isotech Inc. opened as
a Technology Resource Center, initially providing local fax, copy, and
shipping services.
When Internet access in their rural communities was only available by
dialing long distance, Iostech installed local Internet dial up service for
the areas between Gower, Plattsburg, Kearney, Liberty and Smithville.
In 2006 the dial up service was converted into Terrestrial Fixed Wireless Internet.
Changing from T1 lines to Fiber Optics initiated the Hybrid Fiber/
Wireless broadband service, called KCCoyote “Fiber through the Air”.
KCCoyote symmetric broadband service is currently powered by three
fiber carrires in five locations.
In 2012 Isotech Inc. leased roof top space for a tower and an office
for a data center in the First Missouri Bank building in Kearney, Mo. A
year later, KCCoyote opened its own office space in the First Missouri
Bank building.
As of 2016 the KCCoyote product is 10 years old. KCCoyote operates
in seven counties, from 75+ towers and has offices in Trimble, Kearney
and Carrollton.

Decide ahead of time if you will accept
checks; then stick to your decision.
6. Be kind to your customers.
Assist them with purchases. Provide a place
to try on clothing. Answer all questions courteously. Help them carry large purchases to
their cars. Offer a free cup of coffee.
7. Provide prices.
Do not make every person ask, “How much
is this?” Prices make for quick, effective sale
or a good place for customers to start bargaining.
8. Get an early start!
Set up displays the evening before, if possible.
9. Departmentalize!
Separate the inexpensive items from the
more costly ones. Group furniture, clothing,
toys, lawn equipment and other items with
similar merchandise.
10. Time your sale carefully!
Have it at a time when most people are
home and unconcerned with special events.
11. Combine your efforts!
Incorporate your sale with a neighbor for
variety and greater impact. If you follow
this suggestion, be sure to label all items
with color coded tapes or initials so proper
credit can be given. Use an inventory sheet
to keep track of sale items as they are sold!
13. Respectful of property!
When putting up signs to announce your
sale, put them on your property and gain
permission to put them on the property
of others. DO NOT DISPLAY THEM ON
CITY STREET SIGNS, TELEPHONE POLES
OR SIMILAR AREAS. If you’re not sure, it’s
best to skip the posting.

3. Hope for the best, expect the worst.
Be prepared for accidents.
Have some small bandages, aspirin and a rest
area for minor problems. Also, be sure to
have emergency numbers for police, ambulance, fire and doctor in a handy location.
4. Make it easy to pay!
Have plenty of change, and a system for handling it; muffin tins, nail aprons, small compartments of some kind to keep coins separated.
Make sure one person is on duty at all times,
at a centralized location, preferably with a
calculator or adding machine.
12. Be generous!
If you have items left over, give them to a
charitable organization. If you see that some
items are not moving well during the sale,
mark them down during the last hours.
Remember, the prime reason for holding
the sale is to turn your unwanted items
into cash!
