1: Meriden Manufacturing Longarm
USD 50 - 50,000
This is one of several longarms from a Civil War era collection that we are selling tonight. This gun was made by the Meriden
Mfg. Co. in Meriden, CT. I have never seen a gun where the entire barrel pivots, or swivels, to accept the next round. This gun
measures 46" long and is in poor condition. It needs some attention.
2: Civil War Era Black Powder Rifle

This is one of several longarms from a Civil War era collection that we are selling tonight. This gun has no dicernable makers
marks and has been cut down. The neatest feature of this gun is the engraved initials in the stock. The gun measures 44 1/8"
long and is in poor to fair condition.
3: 1850 Harper's Ferry Black Powder Rifle

This is one of several longarms from a Civil War era collection. This is a Harper's Ferry rifle that is dated 1850 and has a nicely
engraved Eagle near the company mark. The rifle measures 53 1/2" long and is in fair condition.
4: 1820 Springfield Black Powder Rifle

This is one of several longarms from a Civil War era collection. This is an 1820 Springfield with all kinds of stuff going on at the
hammer. There is an engraved Eagle and US that is worn quite a bit. The gun measures 50 1/4" long and is in fair to good
condition. Almost 200 years old!
5: 19th Century Black Powder Double Barrel

This is one of several longarms from a Civil War era collection. This gun is engraved Bernard Fine Steel on the top but nothing
else. Both hammers and triggers work as should. Gun measures 48 1/2" long and is in fair condition
6: Child's Civil War "Little Enfield" Black Powder Musket
USD 50 - 50,000
This is one of several longarms from a Civil War era collection and this might be my favorite of the group. It is a "Little Enfield"
child's musket in excellent condition. It measures just over 42" long and has the "L & T" mark in a cartouche on the plate.
7: Pryse & Redman Black Powder 14 Gauge with Bayonet

This is one of several longarms from a Civil War era collection. The old tag on this states that it is a Pryse & Redman. We can
find no marks to verify or deny this claim. What we do find are Birmingham proof marks and P&R was based in Birmingham.
This gun is in excellent condition. Measures 48 5/8" long and a whopping 71 3/8" long with the bayonet!
8: 19th Century Black Powder Side by Side. Lots of engravi

Interesting side by side. The only marks are on top of the barrel and they are "Imman. Meffert Sihl" is what it appears to read.
Gun measures 46 1/2" and is in poor to fair condition.
9: Antique "Sioux" rifle

Unusual little rifle. It is stamped "Sioux" on the plate but we can find no Sioux gun company. The consignor says that the "B" on
each side of the stock is there because this gun was from Buffalo Bill. That would explain the paint decoration but this is only the
story from the consignor. The only other markings on the gun are a serial number. Neat piece regardless. Measures 44" long
and is in excellent condition.

10: 1863 Merwin & Bray Revolver

This is also part of the estate fresh Civil War collection. This is an 1863 Merwin & Bray, NY revolver that was made at Plant's
Mfg. in New Haven, CT. This gun is in excellent condition and even includes a single, correct, bullet.
11: Antique Double Barrel Derringer

This is also part of the estate fresh Civil War collection. This is an antique double barrel derringer. The only evident marks are
"6" on the bottom of one barrel and "3" on the bottom of the other barrel. Poor to fair condition.
12: Smith & Wesson Tip-Up Revolver

Another nice handgun from the Civil War era collection. This is an early Smith & Wesson Tip-up also with an original bullet.
Measures 10 3/4" long and is in wonderful condition.
14: Antique Sam Colt Revolver

Another handgun from the Civil War era collection. This is a Sam Colt in poor to fair condition. All the parts appear to be there
and the numbers match, but it needs attention. Serial number is 223728 and it measures 9 1/8" long.
15: Fancy Antique Pinfire Pistol

Another handgun from this really nice collection. This is an early Pinfire revolver pistol with lots of engraving. It also has an
original round included with it and the gun appears to be working as it should. I would call this good to excellent condition.
Maybe even just straight up excellent. The only marks on the barrel are a crown above an "L" and a "G" inside of an oval
cartouche.

This is an interesting group of ammo from the collection. You can see in the pictures that there is a wide variety. Everything
pictured here sells in this lot.
17: Civil War Relic Lot

Nice little lot that includes an 1860 Parker Gun tin that measures 5 1/4" long. A "St. Louis Shot Tower Co." lead weight that
measures 10" long. The gun that is in pieces was made by Metropolitan. There is a lead bullet mold and the travelling cup in
case has an "M" embossed on the bottom of the cup. All items pictured are included in this lot.

Nice looking pair of spurs that are marked "Patented Dec. 24, 186_". The last year in the date on both spurs is obstucted.
Excellent condition.
21: Hadden, Porter & Booth Bullseye Canteen w/Cover & Strap

Nice Hadden, Porter & Booth (Philadelphia) bullseye canteen. Nicely and legibly marked with what appears to be it's original
cover and strap. Some wear as expected but a really nice canteen.
22: 1864 Watertown Arsenal Cartridge box, Large cartridge b

What a great item. Or actually items! This lot consists of a P. Jewel & Sons Hartford, CT cartridge box with it's original plate.
Also included is the belt that threads through the cartridge box that has a Watertown Arsenal cartridge box and a US oval
buckle. We thought about selling these items seperately, but they have been together for such a long time it seemed a shame to
seperate them now.

There are 3 CSA buttons, one lead or zinc button with an "I" on the front and a GAR or similar button. All 5 included in this lot.
25: 3 Civil War era Bayonets

This is a group of 3 Civil War era bayonets from the estate. The longest measures 27 3/8" long and is in fair condition. Pitted
and surface rust need to be addressed. The other two measure approximately 21" long and are both pitted. The darker of the
two is stamped "US".
26: 4 Civil War Swords

This group of 4 swords has issues. The best of the four is the 1965 US Cavalry sword, but the handle needs attention and there
is a dimple in the edge of the blade. Parts lot really.
27: Horstmann & Sons Philadelphia Non-Commissioned Officers

This sword is marked under where the pommel is turned up and is difficult to find or read, but it is a Horstmann. There is also a
Keystone type mark on the outside of the tang and the handle is stamped with a "4". Measures 37 7/8" long and is in good
condition.

Nice sword. Both the handle and the blade are stamped N.J. and there are no other markings. Very light surface rust but
otherwise in excellent condition. Measures 38 1/2" long.

29: Civil War Musician's Sword w/Scabbard

Nice sword with an unusual red wash over the handle. Measures 35 5/8" long with the scabbard. No marks on either the sword
or the scabbard.
30: Non Commissioned Officers Sword

Not quite sure how old this one is, but it came with the estate collection. Nice Eagle head at the top of the handle and I like the
flag and bunting on the tip of the metal scabbard. Measures 35 1/4" long in the scabbard and is in excellent condition. No marks
on either piece.
31: Civil War Officer's Sword

Nice sword in it's original leather scabbard. Measures 35 3/4" long in the scabbard and the blade is stamped "P.D.L." in an oval
cartouche. Also comes with a modern leather belt hanger.

Nice short sword that is only marked "CA" on the blade. Measures 29 1/4" long with the scabbard.
33: 1862 Civil War Naval Sword
USD 50 - 50,000
Neat old sword. Love the copper rivets in the scabbard that match the rivets on the guard. The blade is stamped with an Anchor
above a "P" above "U.S.N." above "D. R" above "1862". On the other side is the Ames markings. Measures 32 1/8" long in the
scabbard and the is a hole in the end of the scabbard.
34: 1860 Civil War Officers Sword

Nice Ames Sword. Apart from the Ames markings it is also stamped "U.S." "A.D.K." "1860". Blade sticks inside scabbard and
the wiring on the handle is loose, but overall an excellent sword and package.
35: 1864 Emerson & Silver Civil War Sword. Trenton, NJ

Another nice New Jersey sword. This one is fully stamped for Emerson and Silver Trenton, NJ. It is also marked "US" "IM"
"1864". Overall length in scabbard is 41 5/8" long. Decent condition. A bit of surface rust that will be easily cleaned off.
36: 1865 Mansfield & Lamb Civil War Sword

A very nice Mansfield & Lamb sword. Lots of markings. The M&L mark is on the blade as well as "U.S." "C. E. W." "1865". On
the handle is a big "C" stamped and "43". It is also stamped "C. E. W." at the very end of the handle as well. Measures 42 1/2"
long in the scabbard and is in really excellent condition.

warrant for the arrest of a man named Samuel. It is dated January 30, 1786.

62: Art Nouveau Bronze Dresser Mirror. Nymph

Outstanding bronze dresser mirror. Measures 8 3/8" wide by 11 1/2" tall. The mirror has a chip on the backside that has affected
the silvering (pictured). The mirror is back with it's original painted wood panel and it still retains it's original bronze easel back.
There are absolutely no markings anywhere.

Truly spectacular terra cotta, Art Nouveau dresser mirror by Augustus Otto. Signed along the edge. Also marked ""JM" with
what appears to be a lower case "n" surmounted with a cross. It also has hand scribed into the clay "6927". Measures 25 1/8"
tall with the original organically shaped mirror. Her arm has been broken off but is still with the mirror.
64: 29" Marble Sculpture of Woman w/book & Rose

Sweet marble sculpture of an elegant woman carrying a book, holding a rose and with a bag hung over her shoulder. There are
several repairs to her and we believe that the base has been replaced. No signature.

Measures 22" tall and is in excellent condition.
66: Asian Marble Sleeping Infant on Pillow

Measures approximately 9" x 16 1/2" x 5 1/4" tall. There is a small chip on the robe near its left arm. There is some slight
discoloration in places. Marble appears to have a high quartz content, the bottom shows lots of sparkle in the rough stone.
67: Pair of Art Nouveau Amphora Lamps

A lovely pair of vases converted into lamps. The bases were created specifically for that conversion. Both lamps work. We did
not take these apart to look for marks. There is some restoration work on the lip of both vases. Measure 34" tall overall,
including shades. Actual porcelain vase portion of the lamps measures 17" tall.
68: Imperial Amphora Vase with Rose Garland and Putti

Measures 16 1/2" tall and 12" wide. There is some damage to the rose garland, the worst of which is pictured. Imperial Amphora
Turn mark, also has oval impressed "Amphora" and the oval impressed "Austria". Also has an impressed crown mark, the
number "9" is impressed, as well as "20092".
69: Imperial Amphora Basket with Rose Garland and Putti

Measures 12" across by 8 1/2" deep by 8 1/2" tall. One wing has been restored. There is damage to the garland (pictured).
There are no company marks, although the pattern is identical to previous vase. Also has "20093" stamped on the bottom.
70: Austrian (?) Elephant. 1899 Ocean Grove, NJ

Fun little souvenir elephant. Measures just 3 34/" tall but is really nice. I really like the pencil note on the bottom. "Ocean Grove
N.J. From Mrs. Van … 1899". The piece is impressed "1152" on the back.
71: Amphora Pottery Vase with applied Grapes

What a fantastic piece of Amphora! This matte green vase with applied vines and grapes measures 15 5/8" tall and is in nearly
perfect condition. There are just a couple of minute flakes on a couple of leaves. Amphora stamped in the oval mark. Other
impressed marks include "3740" and "58". There is also an underglaze "R" in blue.

72: Large Amphora Pottery Vase w/overall applied decoration

WOW! This is a monstrous pot! Measures 16 1/4" tall, approximately 14" deep and is in estate found condition. This was sitting
on the porch of a farm out in Kansas! Impressed "Amphora" oval mark and a 4 digit number that appears to read "3730". There
is also an underglaze "B." written in blue. Another interesting tidbit is that we pulled out newspapers from 1967 from inside of
this vase. Been off the market for almost 50 years!
73: Marble Scuplture of a Girl with Flowers

Isn't she sweet? She measures 17 1/4" tall and you can see that she has taken a tumble at some point and that her base has
been repaired. There are no signatures.
74: Marble "Cupid & Psyche" sculpture & one other

Both of these scupltures have damage and will sell together. Cupid's left wing has fallen off and broken in half. His left foot and
lower leg have been reattached as well. The granite base for this is nice and in good condition. The girl scuplture measures 12
1/8" and has had a couple of repairs around her head and her base has been repaired as well.

They measure 11 1/2" tall and are in perfect condition.
79: Pair of Bristol Glass Portrait Vases. G. Bonfits

Nice pair of Bristol glass portrait vases. The portraits are actually transfer printed, but everything else is hand painted. They
measure 12 1/4" tall and are in perfect condition minus a bit of wear to the gilding.
80: Cut Glass "Honeycomb" Pattern vase

I am not sure if that is the real name of this pattern, but it certainly fits. We all really like this piece of glass that measures 9 7/8"
tall and is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or dings, but there is a bit of cloudiness at the neck and a scratch
inside the vase from when a flower scratched it. No markings.

Nice form and condition. We really like the gold flecked handle. Measures 10 1/4" tall and is in perfect condition.
82: 1885 New Orleans Exposition Plated Amberina Pitcher

Nice. Measures 4 3/8" tall and is in perfect condition. On one side is engraved "N.O. Exposition 1885" and on the reverse is
engraved "To M. M. From C. G. Jan. 30th" with what appears to be a fern growing through it.
83: Jeanne D'Arc Marble Bust. Blue John

Nice example of a Joan of Arc bust. Her base and shirt look like Blue John marble. The base measures 7" X 15" and she is 14
3/4" tall. There is a broken off, but present, chip on the base and some scuffing on her back.
84: Marble Sculpture of Girl in Chair

Sweet sculpture of a girl in a chair. She has some damage. The base has been broken, she is missing her right hand little
finger, her fan has a bit of damage where it would attach to her shirt and there are a couple of chips to her hat. This is another
estate fresh piece and there are no markings. I really like the button tufting on the back of the chair and the brocade pattern in
the fabric on the chair.
85: 2 Marble Busts.

The taller of the two sculptures is in nice condition and is signed but we cannot decipher the signature. She measures 19 1/2"
tall. The shorter bust measures 17" tall and is in fairly rough condition. She is stained, has damage to her hat (missing a section)
and it appears that the back of her neck has been broken off and then modified for stabilization. No marks on her.
86: Marble Sculpture of Flirtatious Elderly Couple

This wonderful character study measures approximately 17 1/2" across and 11 1/2" tall including base. In excellent condition.

Measures 17 3/4" by 21 5/8" by 30 1/2" tall. Two legs have been repaired. There are markings on the underside of the marble
and the cross-stretchers of the table in pencil to indicate which direction the marble is set in the table.

Measures 48" tall and approximately 34" wide at its widest. In estate fresh condition, completely missing one globe and one light
socket is loose from fixture. Two palm fronds are detached, but present. There is damage to chalkware, especially at the base,
pictured.

Good looking newel post lamp that measures 26 1/2" tall and 15 1/2" across. The original cord is present, but too frayed to plug
in.

This is a really unusual piece. It was manufactured by Hamilton and appears to either be a proof readers cabinet or a type
setters cabinet. It is one of the nicest ones we've seen. Done in mahogany with a tambour door.

Large oil on canvas by Mary Carolyn Haywood. Mary lived from Jan. 3, 1898 to 1990. in Philadelphia and lived in Kansas City.
Mary did portraits and murals and was a children's book author and illustrator who published 47 books. Sight size measures 32
1/4" X 47 5/8". The gessoed frame measures 44 1/2" X 60". There are a couple of repairs (visible in backside picture) and some
flaking (pictured) near the signature.

gesso loss. The paintings appear sound but very dirty.

The larger painting in this group is on canvas and is stretched. The frame measures 13 1/2" X 17 1/2". The smaller painting is
just a piece of canvas that has been painted and it measures 5" X 6 5/8". Both need cleaning but there are no other issues.

These paintings have a wonderful pastoral quality to them, showing quiet country scenes. Original frames, original backs. They
are in spectacular condition. Frames are chippy, but the paintings themselves look beautifully fresh. Signed and dated, painting
of the road at lower left; painting; other painting is signed lower right. Both measure 15" x 23" at the outside edge of the frames.
119: Winchester Cathedral Stamp Box. 1086-1896

This stamp box was made from an original beam of the Winchester Cathedral in Britain. It is the oldest Cathedral in Britain
according to the note with it and this box was made from a beam in 1896 to raise money for repair work for the roof. The box is
"Signed" inside the lid by the Dean of the Cathedral. Measures 4 1/2" across by 2 1/4" deep by 1 3/4" tall.

Drawings were made by an artist named Dagn. Some are signed "K. Dagn" and some are signed "R. Dagn", but both are in the
same handwriting. There are five drawings on large sheets that measure 17 1/4" x 22 7/8"., One sheet measures 14 1/4" x 19
1/2" (has two drawings of hands on it). There are six that measure 10 1/4" x 16 1/8". There are two postcards and some small
sketches. There is some tearing along the edges of the larger sheets, just at the outer edges.

Nice set that is 99% complete. There is one, small, square upper portion missing for one of the crystals. The centerpiece
measures 18" tall and 16" wide.
133: Victorian Art Glass & Figural Base Centerpiece

Very unusual object. We tend to think that some creative person created this centerpiece using 4 different pieces. There is the
art glass vase, the bracket that is holding that, the gentleman and then the base where everything is attached. This has been
together for a long time, possibly over 70 years, but we don't think it left any factory looking like this. There are no markings
anywhere. Measures 21" tall.

Beautiful Italian charger that is reputed to have come from the Uptown Theater here in Kansas City when they redecorated in
the 40s or 50s. There are no marks on the charger. There are a couple of chips on the backside of the edge that do not affect
the imagery at all.

Beautiful sculpture by Fortunato Galli. She measures 31" tall. We are concerned about her crossed foot. It looks to be repaired,
but it is difficult to say for certain. There are two lines at the bottom of her calf muscle that appear to possibly be cracks, but they
are smooth and everything else looks as it should. If it was repaired it was done by a professional. Signed on the back

No signature but this is a very elegant looking marble bust. She measures 29" tall and is in excellent condition.
152: Unique Marble Sculpture by N. Veneroni

We can find no information about this artist but we feel the name is N. Veneroni. Very unusual subject. Appears to be a mother
holding a child wrapped in a gauze type material in her left arm and there is a nude, almost cherubic, figure standing at her right.
There is also a fully carved owl sitting at the ground near the back leg of the chair or stool that she is sitting in. Measures almost
25" tall, is in excellent condition and is extremely heavy.

Very unusual pair of what we're calling furniture mounts. The cherubs are mounted to bronze drapes that would wrap around the
front of a chest or something along those lines. No markings anywhere. The example with the cherub holding the birds
measures 12 1/2" across.
