We have been an active company in pet industry with our founder
companies Tavas and Sera for 15 years.For all those years, we have observed
that the countries which we have export relations tend to have their own local
pet food brand along with well-known 3-4 global brands. We started to think
we could take this responsibility for our country. Now we may say that we
have reached better point than we expected.
Recently our products are known in 14 countries including European Union.

Our philosophy is “Nothing is more important than our products’ reliability”,
since the day we established the company.
That's why we always tried to do our best to find the highest quality raw materials.
We set up a unique laboratory that can only be found in a few pet food facility around
the world. We also gave an utmost importance for our personnel training.
We followed the innovations in pet food industry and tried to apply them in our facility.
We know that we have a high responsibility for our pet friends' wellbeing and
long life span. We have continued to produce without forgetting this
big responsibility, and as a result:

Factory
Our factory is founded on 11000 m² area, including 5.500 m² closed area.
The production is 30.000 ton per year.
Lider Pet Food factory was established in 2009.

Tavas Pet and Sera Pet which are founders of Lider are respectable and successful
companies which have been active in approximately 3000 sales point with 2000 different
products in domestic pet industry for a long time.
Lider Pet Food factory is in Salihli, Manisa, closed to important raw material sources and
only 100 km far away from İzmir, the third biggest city in Turkey.

a good reference in European Union Countries by increasing its brand
awareness in global pet food industry. In this respect, our company
undertakes a very important role that will support other national pet food

exporting products ranges from ultra-premium to regular in
14 different countries.

With knowing that high quality standard is the most important factor for
marketing any product, we collaborate with Extrutech Co that invents and
spreads extruder technology over the world and controls the efficiency
of our full-automatic production system sustainably with international
co-operators.
Production processes in Lider starts with selecting high quality raw materials that are also suitable for human
consumption. Raw materials are only accepted for the production if they are suitable for the 4-step (physical,
chemical, microbiological, toxicological) quality control evaluations and they are taken into special mills for micro
grinding through electronic- computerized controlling system.
After grinded raw materials
are mixed and reached to
homogenies structure by
the help of specially
designed giant mixers,
vapor, water and liquid
feedstuffs (fat and raw
animal products) are
added to present mixture
in the pre-conditioner.
Pre-product gelatinized in the
extruder is shaped after
passing through special
designed dies in order to
complete extrusion.
Afterwards pre-product is
taken into vacuum fat
covering unit after dried in
the oven at 100-150 °C. At
this point, digest application
is lastly performed after
providing to reach fat into
each layer of the kibble by the
help of vacuum coating.
Finally kibbles are rested in
a special cooling unit till
they reach to room
temperature and filled into
durable package by
automated system.
Laboratory
Lider with its qualified laboratories that exist in only world wide known
petfood manufacturers, tests raw material, pre- and end products safety
for animal health by using physical, chemical, microbiological and
toxicological quality control methods.
In our microbiology and chemistry laboratory, that are coordinated with production, classical chemical crude
nutrient analysis (dry matter, water activity, crude protein, ether extract, crude fiber, crude ash, starch, calcium,
phosphorus, sodium, free fatty acids, peroxide value etc.) are performed and results are cross checked with NIR
(near infra-red spectroscopy) system.

giving us opportunity to deliver our products safely and at high quality to

Key factors affecting our success in delivering fresh
and sustainable products are optimum stocking and
delivering conditions while stock rotation period is
only 10 days.

We have been working with one of world's prominent pet nutritionist Hermann Bourgeois for years.
Besides, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özcan Cengiz, Veterinary Faculty, Adnan Menderes University works with us as
a scientific consultant in our company.
Pet nutrition is not only a subject related to equipment and technology.
It is also a professional field requires deep knowledge and experience.
Hermann Bourgeois and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özcan Cengiz both collaborate on formulating our rations and
control production processes and laboratory analysis in the factory.

Diet formulation studies are coordinated by using recent data and
following popular trends (international pet food forums, pet fairs) in the
pet food industry.
Overall, our production is adapted with worldwide known standards
(AAFCO, Association of American Feed Control Officials), FEDIAF
(European Pet Food Industry Federation and NRC (National Research
Councill) referring nutritional requirements of cats & dogs.
