New Hawaiian Telcom Yellow Pages Directories in Delivery; Online Search Solutions Expanded
Annual Directory Recycling Program Kicks off Jan. 21
HONOLULU, Hawaii (Jan. 20, 2011) – The Berry Company LLC, publisher of the Hawaiian Telcom Yellow Pages,
today announced that more than 500,000 homes and businesses in Oahu have started to receive the new 2011
directory, which features advertising representing more than 25,000 local businesses. Concurrent with the delivery,
the company also announced the launch of its annual Think Yellow Go Green recycling campaign.
“We are very pleased to partner with Island Shell again this year, a recycler committed to converting outdated
directories into materials that are re-used locally, such as mulch and insulation, helping us further reduce our carbon
footprint,” said Scott Szczekocki, regional director for Hawaii. “We also look forward to working with volunteers from
our non-profit partner, the Lokahi Giving Project, the organization that will help staff our drop-off locations.”

said Mariellen Jones, executive director of the Lokahi Giving Project. “A cleaner environment is something that
benefits our entire community, and we’re excited to be a part of the campaign again this year.”
Szczekocki said that in the last two years, Berry’s recycling campaigns across the islands have collected more than
160 tons of outdated directories for recycling. “The community response has been tremendous, and I look forward to
another strong campaign this year.”

January 21. At the conclusion of the campaign, All Rolloff Services, specialists in waste management solutions, will
transport the outdated directories to Island Shell.
