Description
A major component of the Tek-CARE®NC300II System,
the NC305LCD master station supplies the user interface
to respond to calls, issue staff requests and alter room
programming status to accommodate differing patient
needs.
The master console allows for room and staff communication
by either open speaker or handset for additional privacy. It
includes an integrated backlit color LCD VGA display with
NC305LCD Master Station
10.4" viewing area to display up to 20 active patient, staff
or duty calls, plus columns for two levels of staff presence
and STAT priority calls in English language format. Master
function buttons are provided to select the system functions
as follows:

The master station is equipped with volume control for
adjustment of incoming voice communication; tone on/off
switch for controlling the lowest priority tone signal only;
call light with indication of low, medium and high priority
calls; CE fault LED; busy and alphanumeric keypad used
for entry of station numbers, zone and station selection,
and for selection of menu functions.
The master station also provides a serial port for connection
to ancillary devices. System programming is accessible
to the user via the keys on the master station or via the
keyboard port which accepts any standard USB keyboard.

A major component of the Tek-CARE® NC300II Nurse Call
System, the NC351A and NC351A/2 central equipment
supply the central point for system component integration.
The NC351A supports up to 4 master consoles and 256
patient/staff stations, while the NC351A/2 supports up to
8 master consoles and 512 patient/staff stations.
The NC351A and NC351A/2 house the necessary firmware
and control circuits to operate all the Tek-CARE® NC300II
system functions. From a single durable metal enclosure,
the central equipment supports 2 isolated serial ports, field
station ports, master console ports, and power requirements
for up to 256 patient, staff and duty stations (512 with
external PK305A Supply).

Description
NC385 Tek-BRIDGE® with Tek-MMARS®300
•
The NC385 Tek-BRIDGE® with Tek-MMARS®300 software
is the management monitoring and reporting system for
the Tek-CARE® NC300/II nurse call system.
The Tek-BRIDGE® server also supplies ports for a local
area network (LAN) or the facility’s LAN, and the radio
pocket paging system’s paging transmitter. Each Tek-CARE®
NC300/II nurse call system connects either to one of the
server’s unused serial ports, or to the LAN using a CT601
Serial to IP Converter.

The Tek-MMARS®300 software includes these modules:

LS301 Tek-CARE® NC300/II Connection enables
Tek-MMARS®300 to monitor one nurse call system.
Purchase an LS302 license for each additional
Tek-CARE® NC300/II system to be monitored.
LS576 Event Monitor displays all activity of monitored

LS586 Remote Event Monitors display Tek-CARE®
NC300/II nurse call system activity. This software
may be installed on up to nine of the facility’s personal
computers (PCs) running Microsoft® Windows®, and
networked to the Tek-BRIDGE® server. One license is
included with the NC385. Purchase additional licenses
separately as one license (LSMON1) or a block of five
licenses (LSMON5).
Tek-CARE® Reporting System records all nurse call
activity on the Tek-BRIDGE®, and provides custom
reports on this activity for followup review and
evaluation by management. Reports are viewed using
a web browser (such as Microsoft® Internet Explorer).
They may also be printed, saved as HTML files for later
viewing in a web browser, or saved as CSV files for
viewing in a spreadsheet program (such as Microsoft®
Excel).
When connected to a facility’s LAN, the Tek-CARE®
Reporting System can be accessed by any networked
computer via a web browser.
LS450 Config Tool is used to set up and customize
the Tek-MMARS®300 software, and to save the system
configuration.

on the Tek-BRIDGE® server, adding ancillary features to the
Tek-CARE® NC300/II nurse call system.

LS453 Email Output enables email addresses to be
added as staff devices. The software sends calls and
other events via email to the assigned staff members.
Events can also be sent to anything that has an email
gateway—for example, sending an SMS message
to a cellphone. The LS453 Email Output software
also enables the Tek-CARE® Reporting System to
automatically send reports via email.
LS400 Tek-CARE®400 Connection Software enables
the Tek-BRIDGE® to monitor Tek-CARE®400 nurse call
system activity.
LS501ES Tek-CARE®500 allows the Tek-BRIDGE® to
act as the master station for our wireless emergency
call system. It also enables use of the NC502 PC-Alarm
Panel to auto dial a central monitoring facility.

CT601 Serial to IP Converter
Tek-ALERT™ Alert Integration Manager, Tek-MMARS®300 System • Rev. 2 - 07/2013
Description
The CT601 Serial to IP Converter is used to connect a TekCARE® NC300/II nurse call system or a monitored foreign
system to a facility’s LAN. Events and messages from the
connected system are sent across the LAN to either an
NC385 Tek-MMARS®300 or a Tek-BRIDGE™ running TekALERT™ Software.
The CT601 Serial to IP Converter becomes a virtual COM
port on the Tek-MMARS®300 or Tek-BRIDGE™, and provides
long distance communication between it and the monitored
serial device. The CT601 eliminates the otherwise expensive
long-distance cabling required for these connections.
Configuring the CT601 is accomplished using software
provided with the device. The unit can be wall or DIN-rail
mounted. The CT601 incorporates surge protection.

Description
The PK250B Uninterruptable Power Supply provides
uninterrupted power in the event of utility power failures,
brownouts and blackouts. It is for use with the Tek-CARE®
NC300II Nurse Call System and the Tek-BRIDGE® Server.
Its economical cost and compact size will enhance the
operation of your system.
When power is interrupted, the PK250B immediately cuts in
to provide square wave power for the Tek-CARE® NC300II
Central Equipment or the Tek-BRIDGE® until an emergency
generator is activated or power is restored. In the event of
a prolonged power outage, the PK250B will provide power
to the limit of its battery. The green indicator on the front
panel indicates power line output when steady, and battery
output when flashing. The unit also provides an audible
tone during battery output operation.
Other features include output receptacles for connection
of equipment, and power cord for standard 120 volt, 15
amp power circuit.

Description
The IR300E Multipurpose Station provides for audible,
visual and digital communications to and from the
Tek-CARE®NC300II central equipment (CE) when receiving
or sending signals to remotely connected devices. The
IR300E includes inputs for contact closures and all types of
emergency call switches for these systems. It also provides
outputs to speakers or paging amplifiers, and dome or zone
lamps. It does not have the controls, LEDs, or speakers
normally associated with patient, staff or duty stations.
Some practical applications for the IR300E are as follows:
provides input for code emergency call stations in an ICU;
a PA amplifier interface for the nurse call master; a control
point for exit/entry doors and narcotics cabinets; provides
input for bath emergency call switches in public bath areas;
provides input/output to a remote door intercom station
for access control.

IR310E Staff Station
Description
The IR310E Staff Station provides reliable two-way,
hands-free communication between the nurse master
station and utility room, examination rooms, kitchen, or
any location where staff members may need to originate
calls or where cord sets are not required. Calls are placed
by use of a momentary push button. Solid-state lights on
the panel indicate that the call has been placed and that
the intercom is in use.
As an additional feature, the staff station is field
programmable to function as a patient station, if desired.

Selective annunciation of call priority
Description
The IR315F Duty Station provides reliable two-way, handsfree communication between the nurse master station and
utility rooms, examination rooms, kitchen, or any location
where a nurse may perform a function out of hearing or
sight of the master station. Calls are placed to the master
station by use of a momentary push button. When the call
is answered at the master station, the red in-use indicator
on the duty station lights, and the nurse may then carry on
a conversation from the remote location.
A call originating from a patient station is indicated both
audibly and visually at the duty station to which it is
assigned. Normal calls are indicated by a steady illumination
of the yellow call-placed indicator and a slow repeating
tone. Emergency/bath calls cause alternate flashing of the
yellow call-placed and red emergency indicators and a rapid
repeating tone. Code calls function the same as emergency
calls, but at twice the pulse rate. Dome light indication is
also provided. All calls initiated from stations other than
the duty station can be reset only at the master station or
point of origin.

Description

Description
The IR319B Single Patient Station provides reliable twoway, hands-free communication between patient and
nurse, and provides for programmable privacy, paging
and patient priority from the master station. Calling the
nurse is accomplished by pressing the call cord button or
the area indicated nurse on the pillow speaker. Solid state
LEDs on the panel indicate the call has been placed and
the intercom is in use.
If the pillow speaker or call cord is accidentally removed
from its receptacle, the nurse master station registers a
non-cancellable cord out call. The call may be reset only by
returning the call cord or pillow speaker to its receptacle.
The IR320B Dual Patient Station has the same specifications
and functions as the IR319B, plus an additional
independently operating call cord/pillow speaker
receptacle and a second call-placed indicator.

Description
The TekTone® SF401A single call cord is for use with
the Tek-CARE ® 400, Tek-CARE ® 400 P5, and TekCARE®NC300II nurse call systems, where 8-pin DIN jacks
are used. The SF401A is an oxygen safe call cord that
is certified safe for use by all patients receiving oxygen
therapy. This waterproof and impact resistant call cord
has a completely sealed push button.

Description
TekTone® SF401G Call Cords are used with 8-pin DIN jack
patient stations, including Tek-CARE®400 IR411- and
IR412-series patient stations, Tek-CARE®400 P5 IR411P5
and IR412P5 patient stations, and Tek-CARE® NC300II
IR319- and IR320-series patient stations.
The SF401G Call Cord is specifically designed for use in
geriatric and oxygen environments, but may also be used in
general applications. To place a call, the patient need only
apply slight pressure to the squeeze bulb using any part of
the body. The force of air through the vinyl tubing closes a
switch in the plug, thus placing a call. An adjustable bed clip
is supplied for the SF401G and is attached to the call cord.

Description
The SF401GP Geriatric Call Cord is a round, flattened soft
vinyl pad with gripping feet to prevent it from slipping off
the patient’s bed. The SF401GP works well for residents
who have limited hand dexterity. It has a mechanical switch
that is activated by slight pressure from the hand, arm or
body, or can even be positioned under the resident’s chin.
The SF401GP has an 8-foot cord and an 8-pin DIN plug.
Also available is the SF401GP/10 with a 10-foot cord.

Description
The SF401EX Strain Relief Cable is used to increase the life
span of call cords, pillow speakers and room stations. The
8-pin DIN cable is placed between the call cord or pillow
speaker and the room station. If the call cord or pillow
speaker is attached to a bed and then the bed is pulled away,
the strain relief cable disconnects. This prevents damage to
both the room station and the call cord or pillow speaker.

Description
SF41-series Pillow Speakers are used with Tek-CARE®400
IR411- and IR412-series patient stations, Tek-CARE®400
P5 IR411P5 and IR412P5 patient stations, and Tek-CARE®
NC300II IR319- and IR320-series patient stations.
The pillow speakers provide call placement to the master
station, as well as remote control for hospital-grade digital
TVs (Zenith is standard; RCA and Philips are available
by special order). When used in conjunction with the
appropriate TekTone® pillow speaker modules, the pillow
speakers also supply two-way, hands-free communication
with the master station, and automatic silencing of TV audio
while the intercom is in use.
Push buttons are provided to call the nurse, plus TV power,
channel selection up/down, Closed Captioning, mute and
two light controls. Buttons are also provided for volume
up/down (analog volume controls are available by special
order), and for direct channel access (in some models).

Description
The PM311C and PM312C Pillow Speaker Intercom Modules
are for use with the Tek-CARE®NC300II Nurse Call System
using IR319B, IR320B, IR311E or IR312E patient stations
and SF41ZDL, SF41ZKL, SF31ZDL or SF31ZKL pillow
speakers. The modules provide for reliable, two-way handsfree communication from the pillow speaker to the master
station. Calling the nurse is accomplished by pressing the
push button identified with the nurse symbol. Call placed
assurance is indicated at the patient station.
If the pillow speaker is removed from its receptacle during
communication, the call is automatically transferred to
the patient station speaker. If the pillow speaker or call
cord is removed from its receptacle when not in use, a
non-cancellable cord-out call is registered at the master
station. Standard SF401-series or SF311-series call cords
may be used without removing modules. Communication
is automatically transferred to the patient station speaker.

Description
The PM321B and PM322B Multiplex Lamp Control Modules
are for use with the Tek-CARE®NC300II Nurse Call System
using IR319B, IR320B, IR311E or IR312E patient stations
and SF41ZDL, SF41ZKL, SF31ZDL or SF31ZKL pillow
speakers. The modules provide on/off control through the
pillow speaker of two lamp sources, typically the overhead
room lamp and a separate reading lamp. Circuitry for low
voltage lamp switching is provided by others. Turning the
lamps on or off is accomplished by pressing the appropriate
push buttons on the pillow speaker.
The lamp control module can be mounted directly to the
patient station, or can be mounted to the station’s PM311C
or PM312C pillow speaker intercom module. Standard
SF401-series or SF311-series call cords may be used
without removing modules.

Description
The IR311E Single Patient Station provides reliable twoway, hands-free communication between patient and
nurse, and provides for programmable privacy, paging, and
patient priority from the master station. Calling the nurse
is accomplished by pressing the call cord button or the area
indicated nurse on the pillow speaker. Solid-state LEDs on
the panel indicate the call has been placed and the intercom
is in use. If the pillow speaker or call cord is accidentally
removed from its receptacle, the nurse master station
registers a non-cancelable call with cord out indication.
The call may be reset only by returning the call cord or
pillow speaker to its receptacle. The pillow speaker also
provides television control.
The IR312E Dual Patient Station has the same specifications
and functions as the IR311E, and has an additional
independently operating call cord/pillow speaker
receptacle, and another call-placed indicator.

Description
The LI381 Corridor Light and LI382 Corridor Zone Light
provide visual indication of calls when used with a nurse
call system, emergency call system, or similar application.
Emergency calls are indicated by the rapid flashing of the
LI381 Corridor Light associated with the calling station.
Normal calls produce a steady illumination.
The LI382 Corridor Zone Light indicates an emergency call
by the rapid flashing of the red-covered bulb associated with
the zone or area from which an emergency call has been
placed. Normal calls are indicated by a steady illumination
of the white bulb. If an emergency and normal call are
placed in the same zone at the same time, the red covered
bulb connected to the emergency station will flash rapidly,

Description
The LI382LED Corridor Zone Light provides visual
indication of calls when used with a nurse call system,
emergency call system, or similar application.
The LI382LED Corridor Zone Light indicates an emergency
call by the rapid flashing of the two red LED bulbs associated
with the zone or area from which an emergency call
has been placed. Normal calls are indicated by a steady

Description
The SF350B Presence Station provides push button
registration of nurse presence (green LED indication), or

Description
The SF337C Emergency Shower Switch is for any location
where activation of an emergency signal is required. The
design is such that it may be located anywhere in a shower,
bath or tub room, regardless of environmental conditions.
The combination of rubber-grommetted mounting
screws, rubber mounting gasket, and completely sealed
front faceplate make it waterproof (if properly installed).
Electronic components are mounted on a circuit board,
including an industry-proven reliable reed switch for call
initiation. The activating magnet is mounted on the large
pull-down lever, which is completely sealed in plastic. The
indicator LED is also completely sealed.
Due to the flexibility of its design, the SF337C may be
used as a pull cord or as a pull down activated emergency
switch. The pull cord supplied may be used for emergency
call activation, or if desired, the large 1.1″ (28 mm) red
pull-down lever may be used. Dome light and system
annunciation vary according to the manner in which the
SF337C is connected.

Description
The SF339 Emergency Switch includes a locking mushroomstyle switch, and is for use in any location where activation of
an emergency signal is required. All electronic components
are mounted on a circuit board, including a reliable industryproven DPDT switch for circuit initiation. The DPDT switch
and the indicator LED are completely sealed in plastic.
The SF339 may be used as an emergency switch or as a
staff-assist emergency call switch. The large mushroomstyle button is easily activated, so that calls may be placed
using an elbow, shoulder, etc., when using the hands is
inconvenient or inappropriate. Calls are cancelled by turning
the mushroom-style button clockwise.
Dome light indication and system annunciation vary
according to the manner in which the SF339 is installed.

Description
The SF340B Emergency Switch is for use in any location
where activation of an emergency signal is required. All
electronic components are mounted on a circuit board.
The specially mounted LED is completely sealed in plastic.
Due to the flexibility of its design, the SF340B may be used
as a pull cord emergency switch, a pull down activated
emergency switch, or a staff assist emergency call switch.
The pull cord supplied may be used for emergency call
activation or, if desired, the large 1.1" (28 mm) red pulldown lever may be used.
Dome light and system annunciation vary according to the
manner in which the SF340B is connected.

Description
The SF341B Code Call Switch operates all system code
signals, and is designed for use in ICU/CCU, physical therapy
rooms, post-op recovery, or any location where code call
initiation may be required. The large 1.1" (28 mm) blue
pull-down lever is used for code call activation. The red callplaced LED indicator flashes to provide for call assurance.
Calls are registered on the master station (and duty station,
if used) via audible and visual signals pulsing at a rate of
twice that of a standard emergency signal. Local indication
on dome lights is also provided. Call cancellation is possible
only at the originating location.

Description
The SF381 Emergency Station and the SF382 Code Call
Station are for use in any location where an emergency or
code call switch is needed without the need to install another
device (such as a multipurpose station or other addressable
device). The stations are designed to be connected directly
to the station bus wiring of the Tek-CARE® NC300II system.
The stations include dome lamp outputs, and are addressed
using dip switches mounted on the rear of the stations.

Description
The SF380A Visual-Only Patient Station controls two dome
light bulbs, senses button presses and switch closures, and
provides routine, bath emergency, and code calls (when
partnered with the proper peripheral switches) to the
Tek-CARE® NC300II central equipment for display at the
system master stations.
The SF380A provides routine call input via a push-button
call cord, and can signal a cord out call. When used with
an emergency switch, it provides a medium priority bath
emergency call. When used with a code switch, it provides a
high priority code call. The SF380A also has a smoke detector
input. Station addressing uses a 7-position dipswitch.
Six switches set the station address; the seventh switch
determines whether lamps are supervised. The SF380A
is a drop-in replacement for the SF380C, with dipswitchselectable lamp supervision.

Description
TekTone® SF301G and SF302G Call Cords are for use with
the Tek-CARE® NC110N, NC150N, NC200N and NC300II
Nurse Call Systems, where ¼″ phono jacks are used. Patient
stations include SF100C, IR151B, IR152B, SF380C, SF380P
and SF530.
SF301G and SF302G Call Cords are specifically designed
for use in geriatric and oxygen environments, but may also
be used in general applications. To place a call, the patient
applies slight pressure to the squeeze bulb using any part
of the body. The force of air through the vinyl tubing closes
a switch in the plug, thus placing a call. An adjustable bed
clip is supplied for the SF301G and is attached to the call
cord. Two adjustable bed clips are supplied with the SF302G.

Description
The JK300A Monitor Call Interface is for use in applications
where a simple interface is needed to connect the monitor
input of an IR300-series or IR400P5-series station to an
external contact closure. The JK300A accepts a standard
¼" phono-type jacks and registers a monitor call if a plug
is removed. A ¼" dummy plug is included for use when the
monitor point is not connected to an external device. The
JK300/2 Monitor Call Interface provides two ¼" jacks and

NC365B Paging Transmitter
Description
The NC365B Paging Transmitter receives alphanumeric
messages and patient call information via serial interface
and transmits the information directly to pagers.
Information is sent to the transmitter at 9600 baud to
minimize bottlenecks. Call type and location are determined
by the system supplying information to the transmitter. The
NC365B Paging Transmitter is pre-programmed for use
with TekTone® systems for simplified plug-and-play setup.
The system’s range depends upon the site and the
transmitter’s location. To determine the exact coverage,
conduct a site survey. Under ideal conditions, the NC365B
Paging Transmitter’s range is approximately one mile. The
unit includes a ¼-wave BNC-terminated antenna to provide
coverage that meets most requirements.

Description
The NC397A alphanumeric pager is a radio pager with
a large 2-line display. It includes a holster/belt clip and
bungee safety cord. The pager is designed for use with

Messages may be selectively deleted or locked into memory.

The NC397A Pager may be configured for annunciation
via vibration or audible tones, and has one alarm for daily
annunciation. It can be programmed to turn on and off at
preset times each day.
