The flexible, affordable nature of modular buildings make them a good all round solution to the challenges of
supplying and managing healthcare premises – meeting the needs of clinical practitioners and budget

By being highly adaptable to a variety of uses, modular buildings from Wernick have been used to accommodate
dental and GP’s surgeries, health centres, hospital wards, administration buildings, dialysis units and pathology labs.

Our buildings can be fitted out to meet specialist Health Technical Memorandum (HTM) requirements. Specific

Modular Buildings in Education
Wernick HireTM offers education providers rapid teaching space solutions with
buildings fitted out to suit particular subject requirements.
All heating, lighting, and selected floor coverings are installed as standard.
Rapid delivery, minimum disruption
Delivery and connection to utilities for a 75 square metre single classroom equipped
with a cloakroom, toilet and store cupboard can be completed in less than one week.
A 600 square metre science block or nursery wing can take as little as 10 weeks from
the date of delivery to site, depending on the complexity of the project. This means
that Local Education Authorities and head teachers can receive new buildings fast with
work very often completed during a school holiday, thus causing the least amount of
disruption to the school or university and minimising Health & Safety concerns.
From nursery facilities to science labs Wernick HireTM can supply versatile modular
solutions for any educational application, as well as offering a range of flexible options
to finance them.

Secure Site
Accommodation
Our secure units can be designed to house the full range of on-site
facilities such as offices, toilets, showers, as well as a kitchens, canteens,
locker rooms, drying rooms, first-aid rooms and gatehouses.
All are enclosed in a high security steel unit that also provides a warm,
secure, working environment. Steel window shutters and heavy duty door
locks are designed to discourage even the most determined vandal or
intruder. Equipped ready for work, internal fittings include electric lighting,
power points, heating, white vinyl faced wall panelling and sheet vinyl
flooring.
Our secure units are available in sizes of 3.0 to 12.0 metres in length and 2.4
to 3.6 metres in width.
Accommodating the needs of larger sites.
As the number of personnel on site increases, so does the demand
for accommodation. To meet this demand Wernick Hire’s secure systems can
be configured to combine larger office, storage and welfare space in a single
linked complex.
Units may be stacked to a height of two storeys with the first floor
accessed by a staircase, or placed side-by-side and linked via corridors. We can also supply all our Hire packages complete with furniture.

Wernick Hire’s unique, robust, vandal resistant AVflex™ system
offers high levels of security with real flexibility. AVflex™ eliminates
the need for linking corridors between adjoining units, thus creating
more internal space and reducing the overall site footprint.

each AVflex™ unit features high security doors with
insurance approved deadlocks and windows with heavy
duty shutters.

Secure Mobile Welfare Units
Offering speedy installation, flexibility and security our very compact
GP360 Secure Mobile Welfare unit is supplied equipped with an integral
6kVA diesel generator, toilet compartment, wash station, drying room, hot
and cold water and 6 seat canteen area with cooking facilities.
All this within an interior dimension of just 3.6m x 2.1m
Because of its compact size and weight (only 1700kg), the unit does not incur
costly transport charges as it can be towed to site behind a staff vehicle and is
easily and safely installed by one person. Equipped with a retractable axle and a
unique built-in hydraulic system for safely raising and lowering the cabin to the
ground, this fully HSE compliant unit can be installed and operational within
three minutes of arrival on site.
The Secure Mobile Welfare unit is of theft and vandal resistant all steel
construction with a double point locking mechanism securing its tow coupling
and hydraulic system controls.

Secure Welfare Units and
Site Access Cabins
Wernick HireTM Welfare Units provide on-site welfare facilities where mains
services are not available. They fully comply with Health & Safety site
welfare directives and are equipped with an integral generator which allows
continuous running, if required.
Wernick HireTM Secure Welfare Units are available in two sizes.
They are typically equipped with:
• A super-silenced diesel generator
• Electric lighting and heating
• Separate drying room
• WC with instant water heater
• Office/canteen area with sink, cooker and refrigerator
• Integral water and waste tanks Wernick HireTM Site Access Cabins are particularly suited to applications
such as the railway sector where the two door design supports
sign-in/sign-out safety procedures.

construction that incorporates robust
door locks designed to discourage even

environmentally friendly, Wernick HireTM has introduced a range of portable
accommodation units that address this issue.
Wernick Hire’s Eco units combine a number of energy saving features that will help
to reduce the collective carbon footprint and energy bills of our clients’ businesses.
Our Eco units typically include the following features • Double glazed windows that improve U-Values
• Increased levels of insulation that improve U-Values
• Passive infra-red (PIR) sensors to operate lighting
• Thermostat / timer controlled heating system
• Heavy duty door closers to retain heat
• Non-concussive push taps to reduce water consumption

• Insulated window shutters and external doors

Blast Resistant Accommodation
Wernick HireTM secure blast resistant accommodation is available in a range of standard sizes
and can be internally equipped as office, storage or welfare accommodation, or with a
combination of these facilities to suit your specific requirements.
Able to withstand a force of up to 320-millibar free field overpressure for 100 milliseconds, which is
the equivalent of exerting an 80-ton force on a unit, our blast resistant secure units can also be linked
together to form modular systems offering a combination of on-site accommodation facilities.
Users of this specialist anti-vandal accommodation are generally companies engaged in building or
maintenance work at sites where hazardous materials are processed or stored, but they are also
specified by organisations that need secure accommodation from threats posed by crime or
terrorism.
• These units are able to withstand up to 320-millibar free field overpressure for 100 milliseconds
• They can be manufactured to meet a company’s or organisation’s specific blast resistant regulations
• Available as single units or linked modular systems with a choice of interior finishes 14
Fire Rated
Accommodation
Where temporary site accommodation or storage is
positioned close to an existing building it must be of a
Fire Rated standard to protect the adjacent premises.
We supply Surefire™ all-steel, Category ‘A’ Fire Rated,
anti-vandal site units. Affordable and practical for use as
offices, meeting rooms and storage, Surefire™ units
provide increased protection in the event of fire.
Whether caused by intention or accident, fire can cause
serious disruption to site activities and result in the loss of
equipment or materials. At worst, it may spread to
neighbouring buildings where personal injury or loss of life
may occur.
Independently tested by the Warrington Fire Research
Centre
Surefire™ units are designed and manufactured to exceed
BS476 requirements and to meet Clause 12.4 of The Joint
Code of Practice on the Protection from Fire of
Construction Sites and Buildings Undergoing Renovation.
The Warrington Fire Research Centre is an acknowledged
authority in testing anti-fire systems and products. In tests
a Surefire™ unit was seen to contain fire for 60 minutes,
which is double the stated minimum time requirement.
As with all our fleet, fire rated accommodation can be
stacked and linked to create large complexes.

Executive Cabin
Accommodation
Wernick HireTM offers a wide range of executive cabins ready for
immediate occupation and fitted out to meet just about every possible
requirement. Heating, lighting and a choice of floor coverings are prefitted. In addition Wernick HireTM offers a range of furniture and
equipment for hire to suit a client’s intended use of the cabin.
Executive Cabins can be supplied as single units, or double stacked with
an exterior staircase to the first floor cabin, or a number of units may
be linked to form a complex.
Totally flexible to suit your needs
Individual portable cabins are available in a comprehensive range of
sizes from small gatehouse units to cabins in excess of 12 metres long,
and in standard widths of 2.7, 3.0 or 3.6 metres. Where larger units are
required, Wernick HireTM can help.
Externally, cabins are supplied with a plastic coated galvanised steel
skin and are fitted with adjustable jacklegs for levelling the unit. The
interior finish is either vinyl faced plasterboard or painted plasterboard.
Experienced Wernick HireTM engineers are on hand during the entire hire
period to attend to any maintenance that may be required.

Units
Wernick HireTM Sleeper Units

and are fitted with ensuite toilet

Turnkey Solutions
Turnkey packages from Wernick HireTM provide temporary

Our used Executive Cabin range is available in sizes from small
gatehouse units to cabins in excess of 12 metres long, and in standard

Our used Secure Units are available in sizes from 3.0 to 12.0 metres in
length and 2.4 to 3.6 metres in width. To accommodate the needs of
