ESSAGE
FROM THE
CEO
KERRIE BABIN
DEAR CHAMBER MEMBERS:
I
t’s finally spring and the warmer weather
is here! I love the month of May. During
this month the Chamber holds our annual
Teacher Recognition and Scholarship breakfast.
Each year we recognize teachers in the greater
Taunton area that make a significant impact on
their students and their community.
Over the 21 years we have held this breakfast,
the Chamber has recognized over a hundred
local teachers. These educators are so deserving
of this recognition. The chamber is pleased to
be able to acknowledge these exceptional educators and give them the proper thanks they
deserve.
In addition we also award four graduating
seniors with the Charles E. Volkmann memorial scholarship. It’s such a humbling experience to be able to award these deserving seniors
a scholarship in honor of such a great man
Charlie Volkmann. Charlie Volkmann was the
president of the chamber for many years and
exemplified the term leader in business. The
four seniors that will be awarded the scholarship in his memory posses the same great
quality!
