Thankfully, He did not leave His people alone. He sent a helper who would stay with us until the end. This helper is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit seals us in Jesus, guides us through this life, and bears fruit through us. When we trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we are not left in our own strength, but are given what we need to have: Power 4Ever! As believers, God has given us the power of the Holy Spirit. Do we allow the Holy Spirit to really work through us…or are we too busy putting our thoughts, actions, and plans before God’s? If you make God #1 in your life and truly allow the Holy Spirit to work, you might be surprised at what could happen. Take the Family Challenge Find three power sources in your home. Discuss what each power source is and what it could do if used properly. How is the Holy Spirit similar to the power source? How is it different? (Example: The Holy Spirit never fails). Older kids, quiz your parents by asking, “Who is the Holy Spirit? When do you receive the Holy Spirit? What is the purpose of the Holy Spirit?” You did it... An investigator. , LET S Keep on Track The result of having the Holy Spirit is the ability to produce the Fruit of the Spirit. How fast can you say all the Fruit of the Spirit? Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. . In the Ukraine, there are 274 Awana clubs ministering to children. One of the clubs holds its meetings outside. Often children passing by join the fun and become regular members. Since many of the children’s parents are not Christians, Awana leaders send permission slips home with new attendees to get their parents’ permission. 3. One boy told his parents how much he liked Awana, but his parents were hesitant to give him permission. The boy asked other clubbers and Awana leaders to pray for his parents. To their delight, at the next club meeting, the boy’s father came with him. The father explained he wanted to see for himself what this Awana thing was all about. At the end of class, he not only decided to let his son attend, but also sent the boy’s sister. The father also took the Awana leaders up on their invitation to visit the church.
