Recording Attendance
Per federal mandate, attendance must be recorded in your class.
 Select the Attendance button in the menu bar.
 To setup the days of the week your class
meets, select Vacation  Setup Work Week.
 You may now deselect the days your class
does not meet.

Select the checkbox next to
the class(es) that you would like to post
grades.
 GradeQuick does not record if a
student is present. It only
records if the student is
tardy(T), absent(A), or absent
for a university function(S).
Select the day the student was
absent and choose the
appropriate option.

Setting Attendance Penalties
 In the attendance window select, File  Penalties.
 You have three options:


o Set Penalties Manually – This allows you to set a different penalty for
each absence or tardy.
o Set Penalties Automatically – This bases the penalties off the options
specified automatically. (Recommended method)
o Remove Penalties – Removes previous changes.
You must enter the 3 numbers.
o The first indicates how many penalties a student can incur before his
grade is reduced.
o The second indicates the number of percentage points that will be
subtracted from a penalized student’s average.
o The third indicates how many more penalties must be incurred after
each reduction before the grade is again reduced.
In the case above, the student would not be penalized for the first 4 penalty
days, but would lose a 10 percent at the 5th penalty day and would lose
another 10 percent for each day thereafter.
