Pittsburgh is known as the city of bridges. It is believed that Allegheny County has over 2000 bridges that span 8 feet or

Punxsutawney, home of the famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, is located in Western Pennsylvania, about 80 miles

The Carnegie Museum of Art opened in 1895 as the world’s first museum of modern art….and that Heartland Restaurant

really doesn’t compare to the Carnegie Museum of Art, but we hope you will enjoy the “art” of our donuts and coffee!
From the first bingo game to the first commercial radio station and first public television station, a lot of famous firsts
originated in Pittsburgh, including the first polio vaccine, first double organ (heart and liver) transplant, first nighttime World
Series game, and first banana split. Did you know that the smiley :-) was created by a Carnegie Mellon computer scientist?
Wow….again, Heartland Restaurant Group is a first for Pittsburgh with Dunkin’ Donuts®. Our growth (105 restaurants) is
the largest development agreement with Dunkin’ Donuts® in their history and we will be developing those 105 restaurants
exclusively in the 16 counties of Pittsburgh. We want to be the first coffee to be the “official” coffee of Pittsburgh! :-)

• It all started in 1946 when Mr. William Rosenberg founded Industrial Luncheon Services, a company that
delivered meals and coffee break snacks to customers in the outskirts of Boston, Massachusetts. The success of
Industrial Luncheon Services led Rosenberg to open his first coffee and donut shop, the “Open Kettle”. Then, in 1950,
Rosenberg opened the first store known as Dunkin’ Donuts® in Quincy, Massachusetts. Dunkin’ Donuts® licensed
the first of many franchises in 1955.
