"Once upon a time..." These four words have the power to cast us into a magical fairy-tale
land, where beloved characters complete quests and overcome obstacles in search of their
own happily ever after. Once spoken, these words unleash our imaginations and challenge
us to dream.
Without question, Montessori Farm School is a magical place. Our story has fairy-tale
characters who win our hearts with the deep devotion they have toward our children and
the passion they exude daily in the quest to provide an unparalleled early childhood
education. Virginia and Wendy are our heroes, guiding both parents and children through
these precious years.
With an outpouring of love and support from our staff, families, friends, and our board of
directors, we are continuing our journey to find a new facility where our dream can be fully
realized. The path hasn't been easy, and as with any good story, we've had our fair share of
obstacles. However, we are continually reminded of how special our school is, and this fact
renews our optimism. We are eager to reach our own "happily ever after"--a place where
our classroom can grow alongside beautiful vegetable and flower gardens.
To make this dream a reality we are dedicating the proceeds from the auction to our
relocation campaign. Please share the catalog with your family, friends, and neighbors.

simply provide us with your designated “starting bid” and “highest bid” – the maximum

Auction Rules
Registration
When you enter the auction, you will receive your bid number. Use only the bid number
assigned to you for silent and live auction items.
Silent Auction
The silent auction begins at 4:00 PM and ends at 6:30 PM. The minimum bid and any bidding
increments are written on the bid sheet next to the item.
To place a bid, write your bid number and bid amount on the bid sheet. Doing so constitutes
a legal contract to purchase that silent auction item at the price you stated if your bid is the
winning bid. The highest bid prior to the closing of the section will be the winning bid.
The Auction Committee reserves the right to withdraw an item at any time without notice
prior to the actual sale. In the event of a dispute, the auction committee will determine who
has won the item.
Live Auction
Live auction bidding will begin at 5:00 PM. When bidding, please hold up your bid number
toward the auctioneer. The live auction will continue until all items in this portion of the
auction are sold.
A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item.
Payment
All items should be paid for at the end of the evening. We can accept cash and checks only.
Rounding off your total payment to the nearest full number is welcome. Any payment over
your invoice total minus goods and services provided is considered a donation and is fully
tax deductible (tax ID #20-8319194). Your invoice acts as your receipt.
No deduction is allowable on item(s) won except to the extent that the taxpayer can show
that payment exceeded the fair market value at retail of the item or any service received.
If you need to leave before Check Out is ready, please stop by the registration table and sign
up for a time slot next Wednesday, April 29th when you can pay and pick up your winnings
at Montessori Farm School.
Conditions of Sale











All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds on items are permitted except where
specified.
All items are sold “as is.”
All items must be paid for in full before the buyer may take them. Payment must be
made by cash or check. We cannot bill your account nor do we accept credit cards. All
items must be paid for no later than Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Unclaimed items will
be posted after this date in an open bid format.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange for delivery or pick up, if required.
Unless otherwise indicated, all items and services must be used one year from the
auction date. Specific dates and times are to be arranged at the mutual convenience
of the donor and the buyer.
Please call restaurants for reservations. Tax, gratuity, or alcoholic beverages are not
included unless otherwise stated on the donor form or gift certificate.
Monetary values within this catalog were provided by donors, or are only estimates,
and are not warranted by Montessori Farm School.
Montessori Farm School makes no warranties or representations of any kind with
respect to any item or service sold.
The buyer waives any claim for liability against Montessori Farm School of the item or
service for any personal injury or damage resulting from the use of the item or
service sold.
Neither Montessori Farm School nor the Auction Committee is responsible for the
correct description or authenticity of any item.
In determining tax deductibility of items purchased at the auction, Revenue Ruling
No. 67246 issued August 4, 1988, reminds buyers that no deduction is allowable
except to the extent that the taxpayer can show that the payment exceeds the fair
market value of the item or services received. Winning bidders should consult with
their own tax advisors regarding applicable tax laws.
