Colleen Billing The Beauty and Necessity of Routines This talk will present the importance of night, morning, school, and other routines, and how helpful they can be in allowing us to school our children effectively, as well as live more peaceful and balanced lives. Shannon Collins Homeschooling: Doing Your Purgatory on Earth This talk is a discussion of the doctrine of Purgatory, as well as the importance of praying for the dead, especially through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Furthermore, it is an investigation of the phrase, “doing your Purgatory on earth,” as being most beneficial to one’s spiritual life, especially for homeschool moms, dads, and children, who have embraced a difficult vocation. 2:45 - 3:30 P.M. Hear him tell the story of his journey from a white supremacist organization, anti-Catholicism, Loyalist terrorist groups in Northern Ireland, and his two prison sentences. Learn how he came to a belief in Christ and His Church. 5:00 - 5:45 P.M. What is a Catholic Education? Dr. Jonathan Sanford Dr. Sanford reflects on to overcome some challenges in providing a genuine Catholic education. In the last analysis, a Catholic education is an education for freedom by which ignorance and other vices are overcome so that the welleducated student is able to think clearly, write well, discern the truth with precision, live out the other virtues, and cultivate that greatest of relationships: friendship with God. 6:00 P.M.
