At its core, Designed by Laura is me – a onewoman art and design studio specializing in
high-quality WordPress website and identity
design for solopreneurs, small businesses,
and non-profits. I also create and sell original
artwork, handmade greeting cards, and other
assorted crafts online and at local craft shows.
I possess a naturally creative personality, which has led
me on a lifelong mission to be as creative as possible
in as many ways as possible. It is my goal to create
designs that are both attractive and user-friendly, and
to avoid sacrificing form in favor of function. I focus on
usability, and clear and concise writing, in order to add
some beauty to the business of the web.

CUSTOM WEB DESIGN
I develop custom WordPress websites, utlizing the Ultimatum framework. Ultimatum allows for unlimited custom
page layouts, and comes packaged with a number of powerful plugins. I offer three custom web design packages
to meet a variety of business needs.
With the STARTER web design package you get: custom full-width page layout; custom sidebar page
layout; a layout for your blog posts’ page; and a layout for your individual posts. You also get up to 5
content pages, as well as the features included with each of my packages. $1750
In the PRO web design package, you get: the page layouts included in the Starter package, plus a custom
homepage layout, and up to 15 content pages. This package also includes branded Facebook and Twitter
cover images, along with the features included with each of my packages. $3250
With the DELUXE web design package, you get: the page layouts included in the Starter and Pro packages,
plus a custom landing/sales page layout, and up to 25 content pages. This package also includes branded
Facebook and Twitter cover images, and a custom e-mail header image, in addition to the features included
with each of my packages. $4500

With the STARTER identity design package you get logo, business card, and letterhead designs, in addition

In the PRO identity design package, you get logo, business card, and letterhead designs, a trifold brochure,
branded Facebook and Twitter cover images, and an alternate social media logo, as well as the features
included with all of my identity design packages. $2700

A LA CARTE DESIGN
Sometimes, you don’t need an entire design
package. Sometimes, you might want to pick and
choose to build your own package. That’s why I
offer A LA CARTE design options.
If you need a one-off design project, A LA CARTE
is for you. All you have to do is fill out a project
request form, select “I need something else,” and
give me the details of your project. I’ll then provide
you with a completely custom quote.

PROCESS
STEP ONE:
After reading through this INFO PACK, fillout my PROJECT REQUEST
FORM by clicking here.
STEP TWO:
Once I receive your PROJECT REQUEST, I will send you a PROJECT
PACK, a customizable quote, a Design Services Agreement, and your
first invoice. The PROJECT PACK includes lots of helpful information,
such as how to set up your domain and hosting services (for web
design) and Project Planning Questionnaires to give me all your vital
information and project details.
STEP THREE: I send you an invite to our project on Basecamp.
STEP FOUR: You fill out the Project Planning Questionnaire, and upload it and other
necessary files to our project.
STEP FIVE:
We get started!

BASIC TERMS
The following terms apply to all of my projects, and are detailed further in the Project Pack and Design
Services Agreement.
• A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the project total is due upon signing.
• The remaining project fee is billed in the following amounts: 30%, 30%, 10%.
• Final files and access are not turned over until the bill is paid in full.
• Payments are billed on a term of Net 0.
• Your project’s space in my calendar is not reserved until the deposit is received.
• I include a credit line in the footer of your website and use your project in promotional materials.
• I require at least 8 weeks to see a project through to completion.
• I do my best to answer all e-mails or messages within 24 to 48 hours of receipt, Monday through Friday.
