For Instructional camp on Sunday, November 4th.
This camp will cover three essential areas for your playing development during the following Sessions:
Sessions: 1 – Hitting 10:30-12:30(Grd 9-12), 2 – Defense 1:30-3:30(Grd 9-12), 3 – Pitching 4-7pm (Ages 10 - 18)
Hitting – You will learn successful hitting philosophies and mental approaches, how to take advantage of pitchers strengths and
weaknesses, drills that can help you build power and prepare you for college level pitching, common mistakes that hurt your chances
of developing as a hitter and video analysis.
Defense – You will learn to throw from angles and on the run, how to build strength in your arm, proper throwing mechanics so that
you can play a full season pain free, an emphasis on getting lead runners out, go beyond infield and outfield drills to learn position
specific details and much more.
Pitching – Doug Gillis nationally renowned pitching instructor and the Director of Coaching / Pitching at the University of
Missouri. This portion of camp will include: Live demo, Video analysis, Covering major fundamentals, Common fallacies, and what
it takes to play at the college level. This camp will also introduce the iLesson concept! In a iLesson, a student will film his or her self
and send the video to Doug Gillis via the V1 App to the Gillis/IFI website. See the attached flier for additional details.
MEDICAL RELEASE FORM: Each participant must complete this form and return to us at check in of your selected Session. If
this form is not completed you will be unable to participate in the clinic.
Parking: There will be a large open parking lot on the west side of the softball field for all vehicles.
Check-In: Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your selected Session(s) and enter into softball stadium from the west-side entrance.
Lunch Break: (12:30-1:30) Players will be responsible for their own food. Drinks will be available for purchase.
The camp is open to any and all entrants limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender.
Early Registration is suggested as there are a limited number of openings

You are invited to attend an Instr uctional Pitching Clinic
featuring the Director of Coaching / Pitching Univer sity of
Missouri Doug Gillis, hosted by Aces Softball Camps.
Camp Includes:
Time: 4:00-7:00pm
Cost: $60/clinic or $80/clinic & iLesson ($100 value)
Ages: 10-18
Check-in: 3:30pm
Location: Aces Softball Field (below)
In the event of bad weather, the camp will be moved our
indoor facility located right next to the field.

What it takes to play at the college level
This camp will introduce the iLesson concept! In a
iLesson, a student will film his or her self and send the
video to Doug Gillis via the V1 App to the Gillis/IFI
website. The Doug will then retur n the video with an
evaluation, including video analysis with voice over,
comparison models, recommendations and drills &
exercises that the player needs. A video clip of the
recommended drills will be attached to the evaluation,
including demonstration and instr uctions on how to do
each. You can review with drill clip as often as you like on
their lesson cloud.
Also, each camper will have the oppor tunity to take
individual iLessons from Doug Gillis in between each camp
at a reduced rate and even have the oppor tunity do one
iLesson at the camp! More details at camp.
All pitchers are asked to provide their own catcher, please bring your own catching equipment. But not mandatory.
Younger pitchers using a youth ball should also bring one to their session.
