At every stage of your purchase a Hypnos project manager, along
with administration, delivery and installation teams will work
diligently to ensure timely communication, a smooth operation and
minimum disruption.
The complete Hypnos service experience is outlined within an
8-point programme we call ‘The Full Service Sleep Plan’:
1 Initial Consultation and Project Planning
A project manager is appointed to gain a detailed understanding of your requirements,
including size of project, room layout, standard or bespoke products (mattresses, beds,
toppers, headboards and sofa beds), comfort levels, design influences, schedule and
brand standards.
We can inspect and assess your existing bed stock and report on its condition, comfort
specification and any appropriate replacement costs – we can complete these audits on
a regular basis across your complete property portfolio as appropriate.
You can visit our dedicated contract factory in Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire to choose the
correct comfort level, view divan styles, finishing touches and upholstered fabrics and to
see how your contract beds will be made. Our beds can also be tried at our Head Office
showroom in Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire.
Working hand-in-hand with your team, our project manager will plan, lead and co-ordinate
all activities against an agreed phased schedule, programme of work and costs, to
minimise any disruption and to fast track the completion and availability of the bedroom.
2 Detailed Design and Specification
Our technical and design excellence will ensure that we provide solutions that meet
with your comfort, quality and safety specifications, seeking to enhance your guest sleep
experience whilst meeting your target costs.
Where appropriate we develop innovative and bespoke solutions ranging from the
development of a specific combination of comfort layers to the creation of a customised
bed label that promotes your hotel and unique bed name.
Bed sets are available in a variety of sizes, with ‘zip and link’ options, plus a choice of
divan support systems, including pull-out hidden underbed options.
Bespoke mattresses for four-poster beds or antique bed frames can also be
accommodated, as can any special size or shaped bed.
We also have access to a wide range of Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5) fire retardant fabrics,
allowing us to, where appropriate, actively recommended divan colours and textures to
match your interior and brand guidelines, ensuring a truly bespoke and striking solution
– alternatively you can supply your own fabric subject, to meeting fire retardancy and
abrasion criteria.
3 Alternative Finance
Hypnos recognises that strong positive cash flow is the lifeblood of all businesses,
yet often there is not enough capital available to manage the development of your brand,
bedroom and sleep experience. Hypnos offers a sound and sensible alternative finance
option to using your capital budget. Working with our financial partner we can offer
a flexible finance package for bedroom refurbishments, based on leasing, to conserve
capital and preserve existing borrowing power.
Leasing ensures payments come from revenue budgets and not capital budgets; spreading
the total project cost evenly across the whole life of the bedroom, making budgeting
easier, thereby protecting your cash flow and strengthening your financial controls.
4 Choice of Guaranteed Sleep Systems

comfort levels dependent on the type and quantity of springs selected; choice and

system. The independent movement of each individual pocket spring ensures the mattress
moulds itself to the entire body, providing total support for your back and actively
minimising pressure points. This helps to increase blood circulation allowing your muscles

undisturbed sleep. A pocket spring also creates a ‘bellows-like’ affect that drives cool air

requirements – all Hypnos beds, headboards and sofa beds conform to BS 7177 (Medium
Hazard) Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5) fire retardancy tests, which are amongst the strictest
tests in the world.
Hypnos also makes Marine beds and mattresses that are Wheelmark approved and
meet the latest International Maritime Organisation (IMO) regulations for the Cruise and
Yachting market.
5 Delivery and Installation
Your Hypnos project manager will work very closely with you and your wider supply
partners at every stage and every phase of each project, to meticulously plan and schedule
the timely production, delivery and installation of your new bed sets.
Hypnos assesses and reports on all logistical aspects of on-site access, procedures and risk,
evaluating all health and safety concerns, to develop a smooth, efficient and just-in-time
installation schedule.
Hypnos’ dedicated in-house installation teams assemble and install the bed sets in the
nominated rooms on the nominated floors.
Hypnos will also take away and dispose of all your old beds, ensuring that they are
deconstructed and each component recycled, creating raw material for re-use in other
industries – 100% landfill avoidance.
6 Old Bed Disposal and Recycling
Hypnos provides a revolutionary collection, disposal and recycling service for old beds that
exceeds environmental objectives, helping clients to reduce their carbon footprint and to
recycle and re-use their old beds – a cost effective, green and responsible alternative to landfill.
This end-of-life solution for old beds has been designed to protect the environment and
to help reduce landfill volumes, providing a source of recycled raw materials and fuel for
re-use in other industries.
Old mattresses, divans and headboards are delivered to secure waste transfer centres
– 100% landfill avoidance. Skilled labour deconstructs and then separates all materials for
recycling. Nothing is wasted and nothing ends up in landfill. Hypnos is constantly looking
at how to recycle and re-use the waste, creating value and benefits for other industries.
The recycled raw materials are currently used within a range of alternative manufacturing
processes – metal hinges and springs are recycled back into steel products; timber into
MDF, wood shavings or Biomass fuel; foam re-used in carpet underlay; textiles recycled
into insulation products or briquettes for industrial heating – even the packaging materials
from new products are also recycled.
This service for old beds and sofa beds is available for our clients when replacing their
old beds or indeed for clients who ONLY need the disposal service.
7 Bedding and Sleep Extras
With a passion for sleep, Hypnos recognises that there are other ‘essential extras’ that will
further enhance and protect your guest’s sleep experience, and guarantee a memorable
night’s sleep.
Mattress Protectors and Renovators
Hypnos recommends the use of multi-sided mattress protectors to protect both your
mattress investment and also the sleeping surface and mattress sides from the risks of
unhygienic and unsightly stains, whilst maximising the life of a mattress.
Hypnos also provide a multi sided zipped mattress renovator, which extends
the ‘multi-sided encased’ style to all six sides, with an anti bed bug, anti-allergy,
anti-bacterial and fire retardant (Crib 5) treated ticking cover to provide a safe,
clean and healthy night’s sleep. This HealthGuard infused treatment also helps to
protect guest’s from bed bugs and equally helps protects the hotel’s reputation.
Hypnos can also fit mattress protectors on installation of new beds.
Pillows
The Hypnos ReActive Pillow Collection consists of three pillows, each designed to
actively cradle your head and neck providing superior comfort, support and pressure
relief.
Choose from two luxury ‘firm’ latex pillows – either Low Profile for stomach and back
sleepers, or High Profile for side and back sleepers. These two resilient and supportive
pillows emphasise that different sleeping positions require different height pillows.
Alternatively choose the Pocket Spring ‘medium firm’ pillow with over 40 individual
pocket springs that independently adjust to your every movement.
Unlike conventional pillows that need to be ‘fluffed’ up to regain their original feeling
and comfort, each of these pillows instantly springs back into shape.
Mattress Toppers
Hypnos also provide a range of sumtuous mattress toppers, which provide an
extra comfort layer and which will ‘soften’ a firm mattress and provide a luxurious
‘cocooning’ touch to your guest’s sleep experience.
Some hotels are increasingly using mattress toppers to allow guests to choose their
preferred level of comfort – particulary where they want a softer feel.
Featuring elasticated corners, these double sided mattress toppers are also all covered
with HealthGuard, an anti-microbial, anti-bacterial and hypoallergenic ticking, which
conform to BS 7177 (Medium Hazard) Ignition Source 5 (Crib 5) fire retardancy
standards. The HealthGuard treatment also helps to protect guests from bed bugs
and equally helps protect the hotel’s reputation, together with the reassurance of a

Bed Linens
For the finishing touch, Hypnos recommends that
beds are finished with luxurious linens, made from

which includes regular monitoring and marketing of your bed and upholstery investment.

Whether it’s a project that consists of multiple phased installations over many months
or years, or we agree to monitor and review the condition of your beds and sleep
experience every 4 years and recommend a replacement programme, or we upgrade
the comfort levels in your suites and include sofa beds in your larger bedrooms,

Marketing Collaboration

We receive enquiries daily from consumers who want to buy their hotel bed, hoping to
emulate the hotel’s comfort, sleep experience and luxury at home. They simply turn back
the sheets, see our brand and Royal Crest and ‘Google’ us. In many cases these enquiries
are referred to our retailers, however we can work together to ensure your guests are
able to buy their sleep experience from you – although of course Hypnos will arrange
the necessary order processing, payment and home delivery. Indeed many hotel chains
already do this – Marriott, Swissotel, Hyatt, W Hotels, Omni Hotels, Hilton and Premier Inn.
