I grew up in Leslie, MI. A small farm town, south of Lansing. My grandfather bought a farm 65 years ago, and started our family. My mother and
stepfather have passed, and most of you had the chance to meet my father Dave and my step mother Donna, when my father came to play his
guitar for the residents one Saturday in June. My father and Donna live
in South Branch (east side of the state by Tawas) in the summer, and
Kearny Arizona in the winter. I love spending time in the summer with
my dad fishing. I do bait my own hook, and even take the fish off, he
taught me at a young age. I have three sisters Lacey, Mackenzie and
Brittany. There is nothing like a bond between sisters. I do not have
children, but I have many nephews and a niece that take up a big place
in my heart. I have a 11 year old beautiful Golden Retriever named
Mala, who is definitely a momma’s girl. Last but not least, I have my wonderful supportive fiancée
Jake, who I will marry on August 6, 2016. Jake and I met in college 20 years ago. We reunited 6
years ago, and in 2012 I moved to Grand Rapids. I had worked for a Private Duty Homecare
Agency for 11 years, managing the Grand Rapids and Muskegon locations for the last four
years. Then, God opened the door to my next journey of my life, I am BLESSED to be here at
Green Acres of Standale as the Administrator. This is such an AMAZING place to be!

Hi there,
I wanted to take a moment and share a little about myself. I live in
Allendale with my husband of 11 years, Randy. We have 3 boys;
twins Carson and Andrew, who are 8 years old and Hayden, who
will be 5 year old. We have a sweet dog, Olive who is treated as
one of our children. I grew up in Grandville right next door to my
elementary school. I live less than 7 miles from my parents and we
are very close. I have one sister and a 16 year old nephew. In my
spare time I love to make memories with my family; big or small. I
also love a good book and to shop various thrift stores. I am incredibly grateful for the life God has blessed me with; from amazing family to a great job at Green
Acres. Each day I wake up hoping to put a smile on each person’s face I encounter. Thank you for
the opportunity to take care of your loved one!

Home Sweet Home
Isabel was raised on a farm
with her sister and 2 brothers. Her work on the farm
was cleaning the stables and
chicken coops. She had to
get up at 5:30 a.m. and get
the oatmeal ready for breakfast. When she got married
to William she left the farm
and raised children. They had a large backyard and had
a garden of raspberries and sold them. Isabel and her
husband William had 4 children, Harvey, Margo, Ann
and Wayne and 9 grandchildren.
Marilyn was born and raised in
Grand Rapids. Her first job was
babysitting all day for 3 boys
earning $2.50 a week. She married “the boy next door”. Don
asked her to go for a ride in his
new car and stopped for coffee.
On their wedding day, Marilyn
was walking down the isle and
said “I got him” who was always
the love of her life since childhood. They had 5 children,
15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Marilyn
worked a variety of jobs after her children were in school.
Welcome Home Isabel!
Welcome Home Marilyn!
Adriana was born and raised in the
Netherlands. During a visit from her
Great-Uncle who lived in Ohio he
told Adriana and her sisters “you
have to come to America.” Adriana
was 18 when she moved to Ohio and
soon to Michigan where there were
more jobs. Adriana and her husband
had 5 children, Bob, Judy, Richard,
Mark and David, she has 12 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren. She enjoys music, singing old hymns
and the history of the United States and WW2. Adriana loves a good cup of coffee (or tea), cookies, and
conversation (especially Dutch).
Ann was born and raised in Maumee, Ohio. She was a cashier at
various places until she met the
love of her life Ron. They hitched
and had two boys, Doug and Dave.
They stayed in Maumee to raise the
boys but once they were grown,
Ron and Ann, bought a motor
home and traveled to all the continental states. She spent winters in Florida and eventually
moved there for 4 years.
Welcome Home Ann!
Welcome Home Adriana!
