Whether you are new to the school, an existing or returning student, we can help you find your ideal accommodation. Our goal is to provide you with a helpful, personalised service. We work with trusted, approved accommodation providers in London to find your ideal place to stay. You can rely on our professionalism and years of experience in housing students from all over the world. We give you options. Our halls of residence in the heart of London let you stay independent while socialising with your fellow students. If you would prefer to immerse yourself in British culture, we suggest living with a local family in a homestay. Contemporary studio flats are another great option if you prefer to have your own space. The Language Gallery provides something for everyone. Our staff are always available to provide you with any support you might need. Our goal is to make your time in the UK as enjoyable as possible. Read on to discover more about the services we offer. 3 Halls of Residence Price Range Single – En suite Single room £240–260 The majority of our halls of residence are located in zones 1 and 2 of Central London, with some within walking distance of the West End. They allow you to combine independence with an excellent location. £200 4 Borough House Location Zone 1 Borough —7 minutes The Language Gallery —20 minutes Availability All year Borough House is a new, self-catering residence in London’s Southwark. It has easy access to major tube stations including Southwark, Elephant and Castle, Borough and London Waterloo. This makes travelling around the city incredibly simple. The building’s Central London location means that you are close to some of the city’s world famous attractions, including the West End, Tate Modern Gallery, the Globe Theatre and Southwark Cathedral. You will also be only a 20 minutes bus journey away from the Holborn campus. Facilities available to you will include two lounges, a TV room, a garden and a quiet area. There are two lifts and a laundry room as well as mini fridge-freezers and cabled internet access in every room. Bed linen is provided, but students should bring their own bath towels. It is within walking distance of King’s Cross station and tube stations on the Piccadilly, Victoria, Northern, Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines. Camden Town and Mornington Crescent underground stations are also nearby. The flats all feature kitchens and a sitting area with a breakfast bar and sofas. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms they are all furnished with a large bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe and desk. There is an on-site laundry available. Internet access is also included in the price. Bed linen is provided, but students should bring their own bath towels. It is close to both Archway and Highgate underground stations, which provide quick access to Central London and to the Holborn campus. The property offers single rooms and studios. You will have use of a coin‑operated laundry and a student lounge with big screen TV. Bills and weekly cleaning are included. Onsite parking, bike storage and internet access are available and there is a live-in manager and CCTV for your safety and peace of mind. Just over the road you’ll find Tottenham Hale Retail Park, which has plenty of shops and places to eat, meaning you’ll have everything you need on your doorstep. There is also a Tesco Express within Hale Village. It also has excellent bus links to the stylish areas of Hoxton, Dalston and Shoreditch. Living in a British family environment will give you the chance to practice the language and learn about the British way of life. Our host families all live between zones 2 and 4, so your journeys into London will be simple and should never take longer than 45 minutes. Homestays will vary in cost according to location, with the city centre being most expensive. During your stay you will be regarded as a family member and must follow the house rules. 12 London is a large and extremely cosmopolitan city. The diversity of our host families reflects this. What they all have in common though is that they are native English speakers who use English as their main spoken language. We know that traveling to a new country can be stressful. That’s why we are here to assist you in any way we can. Our experienced staff members are always on hand to help you with anything relating to your accommodation arrangements. Self-Catering Bed & Breakfast Half Board This option gives you maximum freedom and an independent lifestyle within a family home. You can prepare your own meals and will have space to store your own food. Maintain a high level of independence while taking advantage of the opportunity to interact and practice your English. You will be allowed light use of the kitchen, and a continental breakfast will be provided by the family. A continental breakfast and evening meal will be provided by the family. You will have more contact with the homestay provider, meaning more opportunity to practice English in a family environment. After arrival Once you have received confirmation from us, you should contact your host family to introduce yourself and let them know your arrival time. you are out late or choose to spend the night away from home. You should always let them know your plans in advance and if you are ill, ask them to contact their doctor and alert us. You are welcome to contact us with any concerns, questions or problems when you arrive. Please also remember to come and see your accommodation officer on your first day at the school. We are certain that you will have an extremely enjoyable stay, but if you experience any problems you should get in touch with us as soon as possible. If you have any financial issues, please come and speak to us directly as host families are not able to discuss these with you. They are all in zones 2–3 and are within convenient reach of Central London. The shared flats provide convenient, high‑quality accommodation in London’s world-famous West End (zone 1–2). Most of them are within walking distance of major theatres, restaurants, bars and clubs as well as many of London’s famous department stores. The modern houses offer excellent storage space, comfortable beds, study desks and plasma screen TVs. The kitchens are fully‑equipped and there are spacious dining areas. All bills and weekly cleaning are included in the price. Accommodation Services also offer shared houses in the vibrant Docklands areas of Canada Water, Bermondsey, Surrey Quays and Bedroom keys are not available in this type of accommodation. Built in the 1800’s and recently modernised, the apartments put the West End on your doorstep. The apartment is located within a 2 minute walk to Tottenham Court Road station with access to the Central and Northern Lines. The property offers a shared kitchen to be used with other students. Recently decorated in contemporary style with laminated wood floors, the houses each have a living room with TV and often a garden. The modern bathrooms are tiled and kitchens are fully equipped with a washing machine and all major appliances (except dishwasher), cutlery, crockery, fridges, cooking utensils, dining tables, cookers, ovens, microwaves, toasters, toasties and kettle are provided. These are small apartments consisting of a living room, bedroom, and kitchenette in a single room with a separate bathroom. They are all located in zones 1–2 and range from standard to luxury. They are ideal for single students but can also work for couples. This type of accommodation offers a sociable environment whilst combining a healthy and studious place to study and live. Students must be over 16. Last minute bookings must be paid in full within 24 hours or by the deadline given. If you wish to change or amend your reservation, you are required to give at least 2 weeks’ notice; otherwise your accommodation will need to be paid from the start date. The minimum cancellation period for homestay is 2 weeks prior to your planned arrival date. After arrival, your accommodation fee is non-refundable. If you are unhappy, and have a valid reason, we can help rearrange a new homestay within a few days. There are no refunds for shortening your stay. To extend your stay, you must inform the school as soon as possible and at least one week before your original planned departure date. We will do our best to book the same accommodation. Should this not be available, we will find a suitable alternative and you will be required to make payment in advance. You are responsible and liable for any damages or extra costs caused to the host family as a result of your stay.
