ASIA | PACIFIC The teeth of this 45-year-old female patient had previously been restored with composite veneers, which in the meantime had become severely stained due to many years of tetracycline treatment. The patient was very eager to improve the esthetic appearance of her IPS e.max SMILE AWARD ® front teeth. According to the treatment plan, 18 esthetic veneers 3 PLACE rd would be placed for this purpose. The aim of the treatment was visualized with the help of a mock-up. All the relevant parameters were checked on the basis of a chairside-fabricated provisional. Clearly improved results were achieved at this preliminary stage. The permanent veneers were layered on refractory dies using IPS e.max Ceram. A mixture of Mamelon and Essence (white) materials produced the opacity required for concealing the dark tooth structure. The restorations were individualized with Dentin and Transpa as well as Opal Effect materials. The placed veneers showed excellent symmetry and a very pleasing esthetic result.
