On the Route:
Aberffraw (Full and Savage race only):
Aberffraw Bridge
One of the best places to watch the triathlon in full flow is in the town of Aberffraw. Aberffraw is a small village and community on the south west coast of the
Isle of Anglesey, in Wales, by the west bank of the Afon Ffraw.
You can take a leisurely stroll along the streets of this beautiful town where you
will find terrific cafes, public bars, and of course a beautiful beach!
While you are in Aberffraw make sure you have a look at the town’s famous Aberffraw Bridge!
Malltraeth (Sprint, Full and Savage):
Malltraeth is a small village on the South West Coast of the Isle of Anglesey,
situated on the banks of the River Cefni. It is well known for the Malltraeth Cob,
which is a mile long embankment, over which the Anglesey Coastal path runs, as
well as the ‘Lon Las Cefni’ cycle track.
All Sprint, Full and Savage triathletes will pass through this small, but full of character village during the Sandman Triathlon, making this idyllic village is a great
place to visit. Make sure you grab some fish and chips whilst enjoying the gorgeous views!
