2014-Spring Pathways For Success TRIO Student Support Services Newsletter ACMfocus WESLEY HARPER I was a non-traditional student at Allegany College of Maryland from the fall 2010 semester until the fall of 2013. My major course of study was Human Services, and I was the first student selected to the Pathways For Success program. The people running this program are wonderful and will go out of their way to help you succeed. Personally, I owe a great deal of my success to Maggie, Debby, and Tara, but especially Maggie, who tutored me in Math. Without her, I would not have graduated; so, thank you! In December, I graduated with honors (Cum Laude), and I was also selected to the National Who’s Who for Junior Colleges. In addition, I was co-winner of the most outstanding clinical student for the Human Service program. I am very grateful to Cherie Snyder and Tim Rowan for allowing me to participate in the program. Both Cherie and Tim kept me grounded and focused on my goals. I am currently training and orienting at Maryland Salem’s Children’s Trust, where I hope to make a difference in some child’s life in the near future. I would like to thank all of the professors and staff at ACM for providing me with an excellent educational base. Thanks to everyone, and I hope to see you all very soon. I would also like to thank all of my classmates in the Human Service program. They were my support when things were hectic. They were like my extended family.
