Nein Sr. Navy veteran of World War II. Graduated from Gettysburg College in 1949, and from Gettysburg Theological Seminary in 1952. Ordained a Lutheran minister in First Lutheran Church, May 16, 1952. His first parish assignment came in 1952 at Petersburg/Water Street Lu theran Church, Huntingdon County, From 1956 to 1965 he served as pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Johnstown. From 1965 until 1978 he was director of institutional services at Allegheny Lutheran Homes in Hollidaysburg and Johns town. Last served as pastor at Solo-' mon's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Chambersburg, until his retirement in 1985, after which he and Mrs, Nein moved to Berwick. Surviving, in addi tion to his wife of 47 years, Helen (Sherman), and his mother, are his children: Jeffrey A. Nein, Burke, Va.; Karen Sue Murphy, Mentor, Ohio; Kenneth S. Nein, Berlin, Germany; and Mrs. John (Barabara Jeanne) Col lins III, Berwick R.R. 2; seven grand children and sister, Jeanne Nipple, Mifflintown. Mrs. Nerone was a member of Bethel United Presbyte rian Church, Clyde, Pa. She was ac tive with the Scouting program in Ar magh and with the United High School Band Boosters for many years. She was one of the founding members of the EMT services in Ar magh with Citizens Ambulance Serv ice. Prior to her retirement in 1995, she was employed as a custodian for the United School District, Armagh. She is survived by her father, of Clyde; two sons, Barry A., West Middlesex, Pa., and John C. Moved to Phoenix in 1977 and continued her food service career working at a state-run school for teens. In 1987, she graduated top of her class in certified nursing as sistance and began a career in home nursing care. She continued to work until one month before her death. Interment was made Jan. 25, 1995, by Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home, in Winter Park, Fla.
