He has had many pastoral assignments including working with college students, family life ministry and the Divine Mercy. Father Ariel has been assigned by Archbishop Schnurr to care for the needs of the Spanish speaking Catholics in the Greater Dayton area. Here at Sacred Heart, we have about 200 Latino families. St. Mary's in Dayton has at least 800 families. Father will be living by St. Mary's and will travel to New Carlisle to assist me and our new pastor care for the needs of our Spanish speaking parishioners. Be sure to give Fr. FINANCE Second Collection for Gift to Honor Father Hummel Many parishioners have contacted the office staff about a going away gift to honor Father Hummel in appreciation for all the wonderful gifts he has given our parish. Therefore, we will have a second collection next weekend and again on the following weekend (May 22 & 23) to provide an opportunity for anyone who wants to make a donation to our group gift for Father. We offer prayers and sympathy to the family and friends of Stella Brown, who passed away on April 23. Stella was a member of Sacred Heart for over 60 years. She was the music director and organist at Sacred Heart for many years. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
