Tomales Bay Night Kayaking Trip April 30, 2016 Why sea kayaking
Tomales Bay Night Kayaking Trip
April 30, 2016
Why sea kayaking at night? Dusk colors & neon bioluminescence!! When agitated, certain plankton emit light…imagine paddling through a plankton bloom...our goal is to paddle through an underwater light show. There is no experience necessary to participate. This trip is an opportunity to combine basic paddling skills in an epic location while observing the jaw dropping wonder of bioluminescent plankton. If you have never kayaked before or if you sea kayak regularly, there is a place for you on this trip. Let’s paddle!
Itinerary:
Saturday, Apr 30: Meet at Urban at 4:30pm. Leave Urban at 4:45pm. Drive to Tomales Bay (1.75 hours) near Marshall. We will paddle from 6:3010:30pm. At 10:30pm we’ll leave and drive back to Urban, arriving around midnight.
By Thursday, Apr 28th I need:  The parent signature form below (keep this sheet, I only need the bottom part).
 The $90 trip fee (make checks payable to The Urban School). Financial aid is available.  Signed Point Reyes Outdoors release form. Please contact me or Charlotte Worsley if you need a financial aid form. We do not want money to be a deciding factor in a students participation on this trip. If you have any other questions regarding the trip, please call me at 415 593 9515.
Please note that for all of our trips we cannot return trip fees for cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip departure. In case of an emergency call Julie 650 346 2201. If it is after school hours you can contact Charlotte Worsley 510 520 8558.
