Every day of December the live piano in our grand lobby will lift your spirit as music takes on an air of Christmas carols. Snuggle up in the iconic
Peacock Alley for a festive Afternoon Tea rich in scents, savors & flavors ignited with the flame of the Holidays’ spirit. With the lobby’s Christmas tree
sparkling with lights, the Peacock Alley becomes the perfect setting for the whole family to unite for the December celebrations.
At our Goldfinch Brasserie, we welcome you to relish in a two-course menu that will let the effervescence of Christmas shopping settle. Eat & relax in
a comfortable setting whilst you’re looking over your holiday purchases or contemplating on how to treat your loved ones.
For Christmas and New Year’s Eve, treat yourself to a specially created holiday feast at Librije’s Zusje Amsterdam or Goldfinch Brasserie, for an
unforgettable lunch or dinner sprinkled with a little Holiday dust.

A Celebration To Remember
May it be for a corporate celebration or a private party, Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam offers the perfect setting to celebrate
the holiday season in style.
All seven function rooms are convienently located on the lobby level overlooking the canal or garden, and are ideal for
an intimate dinner or a business gathering. With a festive menu created by Executive Chef Sidney Schutte & a dedicated
team of event planners, host the merriest event of the year at the Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam.
For the whole month of December, conferences & corporate events will be sprinkled with Christmas treats.
As a way to spread the jolly holiday spirit, all guests attending meetings & banquets will receive a
complimentary aperitif & amuse-bouche.

Sinterklaas Is Coming To Town
On December 5 , the Netherlands celebrate Saint Nicholas - or Sinterklaas. Arriving on a
steamboat from Spain, he bestows chocolates & treats upon the ‘very good kids’ whilst leaving
the naughty ones with a lump of coal.

On November 14th, Sinterklaas makes his spectacular entrance into Amsterdam by sailing down the
Amstel River with more than a kilometer of floats and boats. He then heads off to Dam Square
for an afternoon of musical festivities.
