1.THE COMPANY

It was founded by the already well known manufacturers in the timber field
Brothers Battista and Luigi Palini (the latter is the actual owners’grandfather).

SOCIAL PURPOSE
Undertaking and performances of contracts concerning industrial paints such
as Electric trestles, ducts, industrial structures etc.

STARTING OF PRODUCTION: YEARS 50ies
The large dimensions of the Chemical firm (up to 600 employed) and the big
volumes of the used paints, suggest the beginning of the auto production of
painting products.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION: YEARS 50/70ies
By setting up the production on stable qualitative foundations, we got to the
agreement of licences in the production of a growing importance with 2
strategically company.

CAR REFINISHING: STARTING MARKETING (1965)
Following a very important agreement with one of the best representative of
the European technology, there is the possibility to start a production and
commercialisation of the innovative Lesonal range in car refinishing (polyester
putty, oven drying enamel 60 grades).

YEARS 1980/90: NEW DEVELOPPING STAGES
After having got over the critical period due to the succession, the company
succeeds in improving thanks to the following establishments:
- technical staff, of a top European level, concerning colorimetry;
- a new productive and automated system;
- a new range of advanced products;
- revision and establishement of the marketing organization both in Italy and
Europe.

COMPOSITION OF THE FIRM

THE MANUFACTURY
It is a modern building since 1989.
It is extended over 11.000 mq (closed) with the possibility to double up
25.000 mq.
There is an adequate store (solvents 350.000 lt- resins 320.000 lt).
The distribution and dosing of resins and solvents are possible thanks to
an automated system which is a quality supervisor as well.

- 1st. line: big batches: fixed ground plates from lt.10.000.
- 2nd. line: small and medium batches: movable tank from 300 lt. to 3500 lt.
per batch.
- 3rd. line: very small batch: it is concerned for customers service and it
reaches up to 20 lt. per batch.

Through micro-spheres (20 per 30 lt) and special systems.

power between 0,25 cc and 25 lt.

2.2.1 EMPLOYES
It employs more than 30 people.
It is led by two internationally experienced technicians and has the

The laboratory has all the necessary instruments to put into practice these
purposes.

2.2.3 COLORMATCHES SERVICE
It is an important department concerning Technical matters.
It avails itself of expert technicians in the production of automotive colours.
The manager of the department staff coordinates 12 expert colourists.
Here is their competence :
1. Selection and examination of pigments.
2. Testing fastness of the base tints as far as colorimetric concerns.
3. Production and systematic maintenance of colour formulas (more than
60.000 colours for each different series of product).
4. Phone Assistance about colorimetric for external customers.
Out laboratory has modern spectrometric instruments as well.

3.1
BODY CARE - CAR REFINISHING
3.1.1 HOMOLOGATIONS FIAT - ALFA - LANCIA
Following the sales of FIAT, ALFA ROMEO and LANCIA we have been
providing a service homologating our range of products for their use in
authorized body cares.
It is a full range,
Through the available Fillers, Primers and Enamels together with the
accessorial products, it is possible to solve the least of the problems of
the most demanding painters.
3.1.2 CLASS MULTICRYL 900
It is particularly interesting to underline the characteristics of
System Enamel Multicryl 900.
It is a well developed System solvent base.
It consists of 71 assembled base tints with which you get 60.000 colours of all
automotive and motorcycles firms in the world (see microfilms or CD series
900).
Obviously you find metallic and pearled tints as well as tints without
pigments with a lead basis. Furthermore, Binders in the system
determine the quality of the obtained Enamel.

In this way it is possible with only 70 base tints to have direct gloss colours
(series 907 medium solid- 920 high solid) and double coat tints (series 925
metallic, 927 pearled and 926 solid colours).
3.1.3 EASINESS IN TECHNICAL EVOLUTION
The conceiving of the system is particularly interesting, because it allows a
reduction in the number of base tints (others player systems vary from 80 up
to 120) and to technically develop the system by simply adding a Binder
without changing the 60.000 colours formulas.
3.1.4 ST REVOLUTIONS (SOLID THINNER)
System 900 multicryl is having nowadays a very outstanding progress thanks
to its own conception and easiness of technical evolution and to the
introduction of the original ST (SOLID THINNER) Palinal System.
These are Binders based on a new technology thanks to which the solvents
(SOV) do not evaporate in the atmosphere during the drying stage, but they
chemically react with the resin and the hardener:
this, of course, allows advantages both on the ecological level (SOV reduction),
to the yield of the product (rising of solid content) and to the productivity in the
painting (less number of coats).

3.1.5 HYDROPAL 120 - WATER BORNE SYSTEM
120 is a water borne system of 73 super concentrated matt tinters in a
modified acrylic binder in the aqueous phase. This permits the creation of
solid, metallic, pearl water based double coat topcoats, after adding a water
based specific binder.
Hydropal 120 is the system with the absolute highest covering power and high
yield existing in the market. Also the super concentrated tinters make the
system open to diverse completion solutions, keeping it always up-to-date. On
this subject, we advise that a binder is studied for the creation of 2K direct
gloss topcoats. 120 can be used for cars, motorcycles, industrial vehicles and
busses.
3.1.6 SERVICE OF READY TINTS
Palinal offers to its customers, a full range of ready precise tints near the
original tints; they are chosen among those with a higher circulating
car/motorcycle park and this is in addition to the =Palcolor System=.

3.1.7 PALCOLOR SYSTEM (COLOURMATCHES’ SYSTEM)
Every particularly service has to do with Colour System Multicryl.
Every month every user receives up dating files, by e-mail, with new tints
made in the world Automotive/motorcycle market.
Once or twice a year the users receive the up dating Chroma-card (sprayed
colour-cheep with references of colours).
In between the two up dating publications, there is the availability of services
by phone about other up dating and assistance for the final users.

INDUSTRIAL PAINT: SMALL, MEDIUM, LARGE INDUSTRY

The Company with its chemist can satisfy different need, our products are

As anticipated below, We share the market in main parts, depending from

3.2.3 POLIVALENT SYSTEM CL. 607
It is interesting to focus our attention to the polyvalent System Cl. 607 as well.
It is a system with a great versatility.
We get 40.000 colours from 22 concentrated base tints (there are no metallic
tints).Once you get the colour, it is possible to determine the chemical quality
by adding through an adequate proportion one of the other 50 available
Binders in the range (see enclosed documentation 607 Polypal etc). This
system has been successful in Europe since it allow the resellers of modest
dimensions to have a vast range of different products in order to withstand
requests of the industrial and handicraft users, although the needed quantity I
s extremely small.
This is done with a fast delivery, a locking up and limited rooms.
