1.To order from Creation Engine and receive special educational prices, you must be a current
student, faculty member or staff member of an accredited U.S. academic institution (grade
school, high school, technical school, college or university). Home-schooled students also qualify
for discounts. We also accept school purchase orders.
2.Proof of Academic Status: Your order will not be shipped until a valid academic ID is received.
However, you can place your order anytime, and we will place your order on hold until we
receive your valid academic ID.
3.Acceptable Forms of Academic ID: One of the following: A copy of dated student ID card, dated
faculty ID card, dated current class schedule, letter from school on school letterhead, recent
faculty/staff pay stub, or school purchase order.
4.Submit your Academic Proof:
• Upload your academic proof at https://www.creationengine.com/upload OR
• Fax a photocopy of academic proof to 650.934.3234 OR
• Email a scanned image to [email protected] in JPG or PDF format.
5.Additional Manufacturer Forms: Some manufacturers such as Newtek and Autodesk have
additional requirements which must be established before Creation Engine can sell you their
products at academic prices. Please call for more information.
6.Additional Manufacturer-Specific Exceptions: Please note that software manufacturers may set
their own qualifications for purchasing their educational software.
7.Non-profit organizations, churches, and museums may qualify for academic pricing on some
products. Please visit http://www.creationengine.com/nonprofit for details.
1.Out-of-stock items will be shipped as soon as they are available. You may also check the status
of your order online and an email confirmation will be sent to you.
2.No additional shipping charges will be incurred on backordered items. Exceptions include
shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, and international orders.
3.Backorders on overnight shipments will be shipped to arrive within two business days.
return policy
1.Some products qualify for return/exchange within 30 days of receipt. To return or exchange
qualifying products, you must call within 30 days of receipt of the product for a Return
Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Number. Use our online forms to return or exchange your
order and an RMA Number will be emailed to you.
2.A restocking fee of 15% will be charged on all returned products. Repack the product in a
secure shipping box, and ship the product back to us via DHL, UPS, FedEx, or U.S. Mail. For your
protection, we recommend that you insure the package in case the shipment is damaged or lost
in transit. We cannot process returns for items lost or damaged in transit. Creation Engine must
receive the returned product within 15 days of the issuance of the RMA number.
3.Return authorization is subject to the following conditions:
• The product must be undamaged and unmarked, including all documentation (e.g., warranty and
registration cards) and packaging.
• The product cannot be registered with the manufacturer.
• Creation Engine will not accept returns of Avid, Caligari, Maxon, Nemetschek, Newtek, Quark,
SoftWorks, Ulead and opened Microsoft products.
• ESD (electronic software download) versions of software are non-returnable.
• Creation Engine will not accept any return of products that the manufacturer of the products will
not accept.
• Creation Engine retains discretion to deny any damaged returned product.
• Customer pays return shipping fees.
• If the product is returned in acceptable condition, Creation Engine will refund the purchase price
of the returned product, less a 15% restocking fee. Original shipping and handling charges are
not refundable unless the return is a result of our error.
• If there are any errors with your order, contact us within 30 days of receiving your order. We
cannot accept returns on misshipments after 30 days.

1.U.S. shipping rates are as follows:
• DHL Ground shipping within the 48 contiguous states is $10 per order.
• DHL Two Day shipping within the 50 states is $15 per order.
• DHL Next Day Standard shipping within the 50 states is $25 per order.
• DHL Next Day Saturday shipping within the 48 contiguous states is $35 per order.
• U.S. Priority Mail within the 50 states is $15 per order.
2.COD orders shipped via DHL cost $10.00 extra. If a COD order is returned to Creation Engine
after an unsuccessful delivery attempt, you must prepay the order with a check, money order, or
credit card. COD through U.S. Mail is not available.
3.Creation Engine ships all international orders via DHL. International shipping rates vary.
4.Orders delivered within California are assessed sales tax (8.25% for deliveries within Santa Clara
County, 7.25% for deliveries outside of Santa Clara County). Orders delivered outside California
are not assessed any sales tax.
5.Next Day Shipping takes one business day except for Hawaii and Alaska which may take up to two business days.

3.Prepayment is required for all orders shipped outside of the 50 United States.
4.Creation Engine accepts credit cards, wire transfers, or U.S. currency drafted checks for
international orders. For U.S. currency drafted checks, the products will not ship until the check
has cleared for sufficient funds.
5.Creation Engine only ships through DHL for international orders. Customer pays all DHL
international shipping and handling costs and any customs fees, import tariffs or taxes. Creation
Engine charges for shipping and handling costs. Customer pays any customs fees, import tariffs
or taxes directly to the government or customs agent at or after the time of delivery.
